HDMI - High Definition Multimedia Interface

I remember five years ago, when I buy my DVD player, I need three separates cable to plug in my DVD player to my television. When I know that my television have component input, I upgrade it to five cable interconnect, two for audio, and three for video signal, each cables for Red, Green and Blue Signal. And I notice the difference in video quality especially on detail.

This Year when I got my Digital LCD television, and got new DVD player, I amazed with the difference between using analog cables and digital HDMI cables for my Audio Video interconnect, once again I can notice the difference between using analog cables and HDMI cables especially on Video quality on my LCD display.

When you already have digital Display such as LCD TV and digital source such as DVD player, I am very recommend you to using HDMI cables. It is more simpler, one cables for everything (audio and video) and it naturally have better quality signal transmission.

Let say like this, if you have DVD player and LCD TV that naturally is digital equipment, and we are using analog cable for interconnect, in the signal transmission path, DVD Player forced to convert the signal from the digital to analog, and when the signal comes to LCD TV, it converted again to digital. And the conversion process naturally always degrade signal quality.
