He Said - She Said
Danny and I have been married for 17 years, together over 19. It still amazes me how different our opinions on issues are. I can almost always predict what he is going to say before he says it. He cant do the same! Oh he thinks he can, but Im going to use this lens to prove a point.
It really is typical of male-female relationships. What is important to one isn't to the other. Danny could walk away from a talk and wonder if he locked the truck, while I walk away feeling like we may have just discovered the start of world peace. I often accuse him of not listening, but now Im starting to think I don't speak his language.
I sat down with Danny and asked him to come up with five questions for us to ponder over and answer. I would add the other five. He came up with "What's for dinner?" (Men!) So that is a good place to start.
What's For Dinner?
He Said
Danny: "Basically whatever you feel like cooking"
She Said
Patty: "I want ideas and suggestions. You say Im a great cook but you always seem to leave the decision making of what we have up to me. So my answer is Food.. Take it or leave it"
What Did We Do On Our First Date?
He Said
Danny: A movie
She Said
Patty: We went and saw Frankie and Johnny. Danny had bought the tickets 4 hours ahead of time so it wouldn't be sold out.
He held my hand the entire movie. Afterward, Danny walked me to my car. We shared our first kiss! It really was a romantic date!
It really does amaze me how simplified his answer is about our first date. I remember that being one the of the most romantic dates I had gone on. It was my favorite first date! When he has bought those tickets earlier in the day he also bought me a single rose.
When the night was over and he went to get the rose for me it had wilted. He was embarrassed. I was so honored that our date meant so much to him, that he had made every effort to ensure it was perfect. That wilted rose showed me how much he thought of me to have gotten it in advance. I loved it!
Your Idea Of The Perfect Date?
He Said
Danny: Dinner and a movie.
She Said
Patty: A nice picnic, smores on the beach at sunset, wine tasting or a concert.

It used to be a nice dinner, but since we're not allowed to smoke anymore, I don't like to go to a restaurant anymore. I do like to drive the little roads in the country, looking at nature, eat some lunch at a beautiful spot, just us and nature.

Something You Consider Romantic
He Said
Danny: "Uh, Romance is sitting on the couch with you and watching a TV show.
Taking a drive to the beach and watching the ocean together."
She Said
Patty: "After I've had a long day.. Danny offers to cook dinner or grab take out.
The smile he has on his face when we run into each in public unexpectedly.
Warming the truck up so I don't have to freeze.
There is more but ill stop here."
Comedy Or Action Adventure?
He Said
Danny: Action adventure - car chases, guns, explosions, shoot 'em up, the more the better!!
She Said
Patty: Comedy for sure!
Laughter is the best medicine and after dealing with Mr. Shoot 'em up.. I need a good laugh!
Why Dont Men Ask For Directions?
He Said
Danny: "We think we know where we are going, to admit we don't makes us less of a man."
She Said
Patty: "I agree with him on that one! Getting lost with him isn't the worst thing in the world! "
Why Dont Men Listen?
He Said
Danny: I plead the fifth!
She Said
Patty: I knew you would.
Why Do Men Need So Many Tools?
He Said
Danny: You can never have enough tools.
She Said
Patty: He has more than enough tools, and yet I still use the heal of a boot to drive a nail into the wall!
I cant find the key to his tool chest!
How Come I Came Up With More Questions Than You?
He Said
Danny: Because this was your idea and you put me on the spot, nothing came to mind.
Danny: No
She Said
Patty: OK fine, I just thought this would be fun.
If I told you there were prizes to win would you come up with a few questions?
Patty: Was worth a shot!
In Conclusion..
He isn't a man of many words
(as you can see)
but we really enjoyed this
and will do it again!

Danny and I had so much fun making this lens. It really meant the world to both of us when this lens was blessed by a SquidAngel! - I'm sure that you understand each other quite well after 19 years. It's been almost 31 years for my wife and I. We can finish each other's thoughts after so long together.

- Great lens! My hubby and I have together for 30 yrs, married for 25 and I must say we are very different in our tastes, but the same in our overall objective of what we want in life - we both like it simple, but somehow, it never seems to be simple! (but sometimes it is I guess)
