Head Racquets and the Pros

This page is designed to focus on the current line of Head racquets and the ATP and WTA pros that use them.

Head Microgel Extreme

The first racquet in the new Head Microgel racquets is the Microgel Extreme Pro. Head used the new Extreme Pro to give a more solid feeling to a racquet that benefits players who like to attack their opponent. The increased weight of the Extreme Pro allows the player using it to generate more power as well. Since its release, the Extreme Pro has become a popular pick among the top players on the ATP, including #8 Richard Gasquet, #15 Mikhail Youzhny, #30 Ivan Ljubicic, and, on the WTA #4 Svetlana Kuznetsova, #32 Sania Mirza, and #33 Anabel Medina Garrigues. The Microgel Extreme also comes as a regular model, the Micorgel Extreme.

Head Microgel Radical

The next racquet in the Microgel line to come out was the Microgel Radical MidPlus. The Radical's frame was designed to give players the top combination of control and power possible. It was also designed to give players lots of control and spin while still being able to hit the ball with good pace. ATP players using the Radical are #44 Robin Soderling, #90 Rainer Schuettler, and WTA players #11 Patty Schnyder, #28 Virginie Razzano, and #29 Amelie Mauresmo. The Microgel Radical also comes in the Microgel Radical OS and the Microgel Radical Pro models.

Head Microgel Prestige

The final racquet in the Microgel line is the Microgel Prestige Mid. Head designed the Prestige with high level players in mind, such as collegiate players as well as touring pros. The Prestige's frame built so that the player has more control and touch than any of the other Head racquets. ATP pros using the Prestige currently are #12 Andy Murray, #49 Jose Acasuso, # 59 Gael Monfils, and #73 Marat Safin. The Microgel Prestige also comes in the Microgel Prestige Pro model.

great lens. goog information on the line of head tennis raquets. I don't play tennis, because I wear the glasses and don't have strong arms. but playing tennis can really help loose a lot of fat:) it's very effective way to lose the weight and keep fit. thanks for sharing all the interesting findings.
