Head Covering

One cannot be around Amish women without being constantly confronted with one thing: their  'prayer caps.'  Sometimes, as we saw at the school shooting funeral, the Amish women wore two: the prayer  cap and a black  bonnet over it. 

With the recent controversies about muslim women's extreme coverings like  the  burqa, the Amish women's distinctive headdress, and even a return  in many religions such as Judaism  and Catholicism  of women  wearing headcoverings, I thought it might be time  to research this topic.  I am bringing  you what I've learned.  Thanks for your patience as I build this surprising  lens!
