In my lenses you'll find a lot of great information and pictures that will allow you to look over a lot of Amish furniture and other things related to the Amish. The older I get the more I realize that providing complete information, good and bad, about things is much more valuable than only playing up the good side. You'll be able to see a difference from my early lenses to the ones I'm making now. The early lenses are somewhat promotional in nature where the ones I'm making now are all about giving as much information as possible. The goal with my lenses now is to provide all the information you need about a particular piece of furniture without having to endure the marketing and sales tactics of an e-commerce site. Personally I think this is the best way to benefit the squidoo community even if I make a few retailers PO'd at me. I hope that the lenses I make are of use to you in making the right decision when you decide to buy Amish furniture

Here is some background information about myself. I sold Amish Furniture online for several years before purchasing a retail store in dec of '06. Because of my constant interaction with the Amish I have gotten a better understanding of who they are and their outlook on life.

To say the least the Amish are a very interesting people to interact with. I have had the chance to develop some very interesting relationships with many builders in Amish country. All of them have proven to be very rewarding and have given me the chance to see the inner workings of a culture that most people just dont get or understand.

I have come to enjoy the conversations and visits with  the Amish. Thier straight forward yet humble attitude is a joy to be around. I have often found myself contemplating  such an existence and always come up with the same answer- I like technology way to much to give it up!
