I was very pleased with how bentonite clay reversed a nasty spell of diarrhea. I keep some on hand should it come back, but so far since haven't needed it for that purpose. Great work on squidoo!

I have taken it before with good success. It's good to always a supply in your medicine cabinet.

I tried Bentonite Clay for a period of time, but as you say here, I suffered from one of the dreaded side effects (think C). It wasn't for me, in the end, but my husband swears by it!! ****Blessed****

I've used it in facial masks but didn't realize all of the benefits bentonite clay has. Blessed by a Squid Angel today!

I have used this when doing cleanses. I was told to make sure you keep it moving through your system quickly (if you know what I mean)... that's why I think it is great you promote a product that combines it with additional fiber. Good job!

Jesus healed the blind with betonite clay", well I guess that tells the whole story right there. Some of the ancient ways are worth looking at, though they may not be profitable money-wise, the benefits can beat modern methods hands down. I'd not heard of betonite clay before.

Fascinating handling of a really worthwhile topic, bringing to light this important natural resource. However, beware the quest for a panacea for the ills we cause ourselves through modern lifestyles and diets. Remedies need to be supported by a holistic approach to our way of living. Thanks for this great lens.

I think the medicine men of long ago knew much more about healing naturally then we ever give them credit for. I look for natural remedies all the time! Thanks for this lens.

I use bentonite, and have, since the 1970's. Great stuff, and wonderful article, here!

Gosh, this is the very first that I am hearing anything about bentonite clay -- I wonder if that is because I live in the South? Most interesting stuff my dear!

Thanks for this testimonial that bentonite clay plus goldenseal powder paste cured a recluse spider bite. I love to hear this kind of feedback!

Enjoyed your lens immensely. I've been wanting to try drinking clay but was afraid to without specific instructions. Now I have them. I want to share with you some info about clay - A while back I found I had a bite and feared it was a brown recluse because it was making me sick so I looked up info about brown recluse bites on the internet and learned that there is no anti-venom and all a doctor can do to for it is give something for the pain, cut away the skin as it dies and hope it won't spread too far. Going to the local health food store I asked the man there if he knew of anything to use. He said to mix 2 parts bentonite clay and 1 part goldenseal powder with enough water to make a paste, plaster it on the bite and cover it with a clean cloth; wet it when it got dry and leave it on, only changing the paste once a day until it pulled out all the poison. It worked like a charm! Later I used it on a friend who definitely had a brown recluse bite and it quickly worked wonders!

I've used bentonite clay for skin problems and it worked great. I'm going to have to try an internal cleanse now. Thanks for this thorough and informative lens.
