Yoga To Reduce Headaches

Do you suffer from chronic headaches or migraines? If so, you might want to think about trying Dahn Yoga for health and headaches. This relaxing regimen has been relieving pain and opening up energy meridians for decades. Here are a few simple techniques to help you get started.

1. Whole body relaxation. Of all the yoga for health problems you can do, this may be the most broadly beneficial. First, lie down on the floor, with your arms and legs spread slightly. Breathe slowly and deeply. Starting with your toes, imagine each muscle group in your body untensing, relaxing and releasing stress. End with your head and face. Visualize your smiling face throughout. If you do it right, you should feel as if you are slowly sinking into the earth.

2. Open your chest. Sitting comfortably, raise and clasp your hands at chest level, with your fingers interlaced. Slowly rub your thumbs up and down your chest. As you do so, lift your chin and say "Ahhhhh." This method is great for unblocking the energy channels that run through your torso.

3. Wiggle your toes. Lie on the floor and lift your legs 45 degrees in the air. Rub your feet together and splay your toes, wiggling and stretching them for 30 seconds. You'd be surprised how much tension you can release this way.
