Get your day started off on the right foot with a Healthy Breakfast Smoothie.
Let's face it. With todays schedules it can be very difficult to make time for breakfast at all. And if we do get breakfast, it's usually in the form of fast food.
If you had to rank your meals in order of importance, breakfast would rank number one! Breakfast wakes up your metabolism and tells your body to start burning fat. You don't want to miss out on this every day.
Smoothies can act as a meal substitute and a potent snack for a few reasons:
1. They require little time.
2. The berries, flavored whey powder or other fruit makes them taste like dessert.
3. Because they are thick they take up a lot of room in your stomach making you feel fuller longer.
You can easily make something different each day. They never have to get boring because the possibilities are endless.
By downing one of these smoothies with fruits and vegetables mixed in each day you will save yourself from a variety of health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity among other things.
Whole food nutrition tastes better than popping pills anyday. Besides, unless you take a really good multi-vitamin they don't do much anyhow. And those diet plans with prepared meals can be very expensive.
You can come up with your own concoctions by using milk, low-fat vanilla yougurt, whey powder and ice as the main ingredients.
Healthy eating doesn't need to be boring, expensive or time consuming.

Get Your Daily Fruit Serving With a Breakfast Smoothie
Have a hard time getting the recommended amount of fruit in your diet???
A lot of people have a hard time with breakfast. Either they skip it all together or they eat unhealthy foods at say, fast food restaurants. Both of these options are unnecessary and dangerous to your health.
With breakfast smoothies these options are a thing of the past. They can be made in about 3-5 minutes (including clean up). If you are pressed for time in the morning you can make your smoothie the night before and have it on the way to work.
There is simply no easier way to get in a good portion of your daily serving of fruits. A pop tart will just not get you going the way a healthy breakfast smoothie will.
Did you know that the USDA Dietary Guidelines Committee has just raised the minimum recommended amout of fruit a day to nine servings (up from 5 servings) based on a 2000 calorie diet?
This could seem like an impossible feet without the help of healthy breakfast smoothies.
I use a Vita-Mix to make my breakfast smoothies. It's on the spendy side, but it has a 7 year warrenty and can do so much more than just blend stuff. It can make ice cream, hot soup, batter, syrups, peanut butter, and it purees (perfect for baby food). I figured I go through about one blender per year and can only do a couple things with it, so getting a Vita-Mix will pay for itself in no time.

Breakfast Smoothies for Weight Management
Making healthy breakfast smoothies is a great way to start a healthy lifestyle
Notice I used the words (healthy lifestyle) and not diet.In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle you have to change your old eating habits. Starting with a healthy breakfast is the easiest and most beneficial change you can make.
Research has shown that by having a healthy breakfast you will give your metabolism a jumpstart for the day. So don't miss out on this benefit you can give yourself each and every day.
Say Goodbye To Processed Foods
Processed foods have up to 80% of the vitamins and minerals missing. Manufacturers add back only a handful of the hundreds of nutrients they have removed.
The $450 billion food industry tells us that fresh food is pricy and we don't have time to prepare meals from scratch. They have campaigns that tell us that packaged, processed foods with additives, preservatives and fillers are a healthy choice that can save us time and money.
Nothing Could Be Further From The Truth!
Whole foods are the road to longevity and health. They are more delicious and more nutritious than you thought possible.
Breakfast smoothies also make you feel fuller for a longer period of time. You don't get those early morning cravings like you do when you eat pre-packaged processed foods.

Hide A Serving Of Veggies In Your Smoothie
Can't seem to eat enough veggies??
Not many people don't like the taste of fruit. Vegetables, however, are another story. Let's face it, we are probably NOT getting the daily recommended amount of veggies in our diet. And don't get me started on trying to get your kids to eat them....Well now you can sneak in at least one or two servings of veggies per day. And you won't even taste them!
How?
Green Smoothies, that's how.
If you put in a serving or two of veggies along with your fruit smoothie you will get all the benefits and none of the veggie taste. It's a win win for you and your family.
