TEN STEPS TO HEALTHY EATING
If you gradually include these steps in your everyday eating plan you will soon be eating a natural, healthy diet providing all the Vital Nutrition you and your family require. When you start with steps 1 and 2 you will very quickly begin to feel and see the benefits. Then as you become familiar with each new step, move on to the next and in no time you will be enjoying a no fuss, healthy way of eating.
1) Switch to whole grain -
use only whole grains and products made from whole grains such as raw grain muesli, stone ground wholemeal flour, whole meal bread, brown rice, millet etc.
2) Avoid refined sugar -
you will be surprised how many foods contain hidden refined sugar.
3) Eat more fresh fruits.-
You can kicks tart your day with fresh fruit juice or eat them in between meals.
4) Enjoy raw vegetables and sprouts-
eat at least 4 different kinds of vegetables each day.
5) Reduce meat intake-
eat less but enjoy good quality organic meat, chicken and fish.
6) Use unrefined oils and butter, change to cold-pressed oil and butter, cut out refined oils, lard, drippings, margarine and vegetable shortenings.
7) Add the beautiful bean family, beans, peas and lentils are very good source of plant protein, taste great, add variety to your meals and are good value for money.
8) Drink healthy beverages, learn to enjoy pure water and herb teas, break the coffee and soft drink addiction.
9) Detect and reduce additives, become an expert in decoding food labels and avoiding harmful additives. Reduce salt and replace it with other seasonings herbs, kelp, garlic and spices.
10) Reduce dairy products and eggs, decrease the amount of eggs, cheese, milk and other dairy products.
