How to Create a Simple Weight Loss Meal Plan

Many fail to lose weight following a program or weight loss meal plan simply because they are designed for the masses. Only you know what you like and dislike. It would be much easier and effective if you created your own weight loss meal plan. That way you would be able to follow the plan you created and eat the foods that you find more appealing. Most fad diets do not work because people simply cannot stick to it because the foods are unappealing and the expectations are totally unrealistic.

What is Your Goal?

The most vital component to any weight loss program is the goal. Do you want to lose 10lbs, 20lbs, or simply to look good for bikini season? Make sure to set a goal for yourself that you can measure and make sure it is realistic. My goal is to lose weight will not cut it because it is too general and cannot be properly measure. A goal is set up to motivate you and give you a feeling of accomplishment that will inspire you to continue. For example, my goal is to lose 10lbs in a month. You can even do a weekly goal. Short term goals will help you achieve what you want one step at a time. The little successes will keep you motivated and will help you throughout the process. Overly ambitious goals will do the opposite and will make you feel like a failure simply because you did not reach it. But that is not true because those goals are unrealistic.
There is a lot of free reading material on the internet for weight loss like guidelines, charts, medical recommendations based on height, weight, age, gender etc. Make sure to develop a safe meal plan that incorporates a complete list of balanced food groups that should be included in everyone's daily consumption. Foods that are low in fat and calories, but high in nutrients and protein are always a good choice. Try to make the meals tasty, but within limits of course, because you eat the food you enjoy, you are more likely to stick to the plan.

Weight Loss Program without Exercise = DOES NOT WORK!

No weight loss program is complete without exercise. Simply put, weight loss happens when you burn more calories than you consume. As you limit the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, your body will produce less insulin. Insulin breaks carbohydrates down to create blood glucose, which is essential to maintaining daily energy levels. Without the carbs flowing through your system, the body will then begin to eat up any stored fat cells to create that energy.
The key to success is to allow your body to continue breaking down fat cells to create energy instead of breaking down muscle tissue. Exercise will speed up your metabolism which will help you burn the calories for energy. Eating right will help you to prevent creating more fat cells and moderate your changing metabolism. If you can create a weight loss meal plan that you can stick to, combine it with exercise, then you will be surprise to see how fast the pounds will melt away.
