Homemade Trail Mix

Get creative!

The great thing about this snack is you get to be creative and invent your own trail mix! As long as it's filled with healthy carbohydrates feel free to add whatever you want! Here is a trail mix I find delicious: almonds, cheerios, broken up whole grain pretzels, flax seeds, granola, and raisins. These are great for those on the go; just put your trail mix in a baggie and you are good to go!

Yogurt With Some Added Flavor

No more plain boring yogurt

Think yogurt is too plain? Try adding some delicious extras to it! Using a yogurt of any flavor with probiotics (to aid in digestion) in it, add some granola, raisins, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, or whatever fruit you'd like! The yogurt is a good source of calcium and the fruits each have their own benefits, i.e. grapes have antioxidants such as vitamin C in them (which has been shown to help small age lines)!

Actually, soy is ok for boys in moderation. Too much soy will have negative affects, but a small to moderate amount will not

Some are of different opinion (Dr. Lam), but I'm no expert. I'm into paleo diet so beans are a no go for me anyway...
