This is an amazing lens! Thank you so much! I am just venturing into home cooking for my 4 shih tzus. We rescued her from a puppy mill and she was pregnant (and we didn't know it) and gave us 3 adorable baby girls whom we will be keeping! Great info!

Awesome lens.So glad I found this.I'm going to share a family recipe.I call in Finniganns cassarole
    500gms of any meat
    1 carrot finely chopped
    1 small potato finely chopped
    1 stick celery finely chopped
1/2 cup sliced green beans (string less)
    1 tbsn Gravox
Place all ingredients into a large casserole dish. Cover with water and mix. Place lid on casserole. Microwave on High for 10 minutes and then Medium for 10 minutes. This
should be cooked at least an hour before feeding so that it is well cooled.

Another wonderful lens ~ thanks for sharing all this great information about feeding our dogs the healthiest diet possible. You've got me thinking I need to dig out the dog food recipe I used for my dalmatian in his last year of life. I'm our crew of 3 would appreciate the fresh homemade food supplementing their Merrick's! :-)

It is important to keep our dogs healthy with their diet ... what is it about not wanting to feed the dogs table scraps and leftovers ... is somebody trying to say that we people don't have "healthy" diets? Perhaps food for thought.

Dog is really a loved animal, and my dog Chichi usually makes me moved and I love him more and more. But yesterday he seemed ill, because he didn't want to eat anything, including his most favorite Authority harvest baked. Until now, he is still like yesterday, what should I do?
  • KonaGirl Aug 21, 2011 @ 9:12 pm | delete
If he is still sick take him to the vet!

    Great site! LOVE THE PHOTOS!

There is a special died that oxygenates the cells and can be added to most any dog's diet with the exception of those who have pancreatitis. It's called the Budwig Diet and has helped many dogs who have cancer. You can learn how you can make the simple Budwig Diet at http://NikkisSite.com (our journey to healing Nikki's osteosarcoma) - just site search "Buidwig Diet."

Very good point that all the vitamins added to kibble, are destroyed by the heat. I use kibble and fresh ingredients and raw bones for my dogs. Based on your lens, I'm going into increase the proportion of fresh food. thanks for the ideas - avocadoes, etc
