- Better Hearing Institute
- The BHI is a nonprofit corporation that educates the public about hearing impairment and advocates in support of treatment for hearing impairment. There is a considerable amount of information on hearing loss and hearing aids on this site.
- Self Help for Hard of Hearing People
- Recently renamed Hearing Loss Association of America (I'll change the link name when they change their name on their site), their mission is "to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy." They have a large amount of information for people with hearing impairment.
- Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers
- HEAR's mission is "the prevention of hearing loss and tinnitus among musicians and music fans (especially teens) through education awareness and grassroots outreach advocacy." The site focuses on hearing conservation.
- Audiology Online
- This site is geared towards audiologists and hearing instrument professionals, but it is an excellent resource for people looking to find information on the latest hearing aid technology and latest findings on hearing loss science.
- The Hearing Review
- The Hearing Review is a trade journal targetted towards hearing instrument professionals. It publishes stories about the latest hearing aid technology, news about the hearing aid industry, and issues that affect audiologists and hearing aid dispensers.
Every article published since June 2000 is available online, an excellent resource. - The Hearing Journal
- The Hearing Journal is a trade journal targetted towards hearing instrument professionals. It publishes stories about the latest hearing aid technology, news about the hearing aid industry, and issues that affect audiologists and hearing aid dispensers.
Every article published since January 1999 is available online as a part of the AudiologyOnline website, an excellent resource. Unfortunately, the articles are not accessible with Firefox, you must use Internet Explorer. - Healthy Hearing
- A portal for people with hearing loss. It contains articles, interviews with experts and people with heraing loss, testimonials on different hearing aids, and various other resources for those who want to know more about hearing impairment and hearing aids.
The site allows you to find hearing aid dispensers in your area and find places to get your hearing tested. There's also an ability to sign up for a monthly e-mail newsletter with the latest articles from Healthy Hearing. - Hearing Mojo
- This is a blog by a hearing aid wearer, David Copithorne. He posts useful advice on hearing technology, information on hearing advocacy, and observations on his own experience as a hearing impaired person.
