Heart and Love Tattoos
heart and love tattoos are probably one of the oldest and most iconic tattoos avalible yet there are still tons of them out there and people love to get heart or love tattoos all the time. These seem to reamin popular regardless of current trends of the whim of fashion the heart or love tattoo is timeless in it's design.
There are a few different variations or tweaks that you can add to the basic heart tattoo however and a vareity of symbolic meanings that can be attributed to heart and love tattoos.
Sacred heart Tattoos - These are tattoos that tend to have religous background in the sacred heart of Jesus a Catholic portrayl of Jesus opening his chest to show his ever burning hear tand love for the world.
Love Tattoos - These are the heart tattoos that have someone name above them or with a scroll of cloth or paper on which someones name is written. The most obvious and iconic one which says "MOM".Â
Burning Heart - This is very much the same as the sacred heart tattoo but takes away some of the religous and Catholic influnce on the design and instead is typically has a eternal flame comming from the top to show an undying love.
Heart and Wings Tattoo - This is the typical design that is displayed in my bio. It is a heart with a big pair of wings. There are a lot of symbolic meanings for this tattoo but each person that bears one has a different meaning or interrpertation.
Realistic or Human Heart Tattoos - There are more and more people getting heart tattoos that look very realistic to a real human heart the actual organ.
Bleeding Heart tattoo - This is the type of tattoo design heart that has a drop of blood at the bottom typically.
Tribal Heart tattoo - This is kind of a different variation and combination of tattooing styles. Taking a tribal design with black ink and lines and making it into a heart. Pretty orginal and can look great with it's bold lines.
Key and Heart Tattoo - The symbolism of adding a key (the key to unlocking the person heart) has also become a popular addition or tweak to the tradtional heart tattoo design.
Well that names just a few of this popular heart and love tattoo designs. I am sure ther are more variations out there but these are at least the major ones.
