Heart English Centre

Heart English Centre is an idea in the making. Currently, I am developing a school that combines learning English with an enjoyable travel experience. Located in the heart of the Lakes District in British Columbia, Canada, Heart English aims to give people a unique language learning experience catered entirely to their desires. The opportunities to experience wildlife and outdoor adventures here are boundless! Go hiking, boating, swimming, horseback riding, skiing, or take part in many other activities. See bear, fox, deer, moose, wolf, and wild birds on daily excursions! You choose, just remember, it is your learning experience. What better way to learn a language than from the Heart!

Language, Culture, and Real Life Experiences

Interested? Have a question about English?

If you find the idea of learning English in this type of environment appealing, please feel free to contact me.
I am available to discuss your interests and goals.

If you just have a question about English or just need help with something (EFL related), send me an email and I will do my best to help you

I am a Canadian certified ESL instructor and I believe that languages are a reflection of the environment in which they are spoken.

This is an opportunity to learn English from a genuine instructor, in a natural setting. By combining real life experiences with English language learning, you gain skills and memories that are authentic, useful, and, most of all, enjoyable.

(It should be known that I have never built a web page or "lens" before. I will continue to update this to make is more interesting and informative for you)

Note: All the pictures on this lens are indeed real, taken very close by the location of the grounds.

Genuine Answers

my personal policy

By attempting to become a "lensmaster" and create this page, I am simply trying to obtain genuine feedback from people out there in the world who would be interested in this type of opportunity. This is not just an opportunity for learners but for an entire community of people who could benefit from this type of program. Just by visiting this page, you are helping me donate to charity as well as potentially making this idea become a reality.
In return, I offer you my genuine self. My page is not a copy and paste of information that is already out there. It is truly authentic and will remain so. When I learn to connect useful links, I will do so. Furthermore, I CAN HELP YOU WITH ENGLISH!

Great Resources

Swan's "Practical English Usage" is a book that every English instructor and learner should have on hand. This book is like a bible to me!
It has easy to find answers for your most difficult questions.

How do I add links to this lens?

Where exactly are the answers to the questions I don't have?

That subtitle is supposed to be a joke. I am just trying to fill a little content here for fun.
Excursions, such as the one the people in the photo are taking, are a fun an enjoyable way to learn about the natural surroundings and history of the area. Furthermore, at the same time, you'll be learning English!
For example, do you know what a panoramic view is? Do you know any other words for the word view?

How do I add links!!!

Thank You Squidoo!

for the opportunity, making it easy, and making it fun!

What a great way to get published for the world see.
That's right, somebody, somewhere, is interested in what I have to say/do.
Eat your hummingbird heart out!

I'm interested in how this is going and what you have planned. I started a nature-based English program here in Austria 3 years ago called "English Experience" and it has been very well received. Do you have a program plan in mind? Have you already started? Perhaps we can share ideas/resources.
Here's the blog that the students have helped develop:

Way to go...There is a lot of opportunity to give people an exclusive wilderness English experience. I think they would love the time to enjoy learning the language as well as experience the environment we live in. kudos!
