HEART WALK 2008: GET STARTED!
Welcome to my 2008 Heart Walk lens! I hope you will find this handcrafted lens a unique and useful resource for your 2008 Heart Walk|fundraising experience. I have two goals with this Squidoo lens:
First, Provide YOU with unique, useful and updated information on the amazing American Heart Association, the Heart Walk events, information on what other walkers are doing and unique ways to energize your fundraising, motivate your team & inspire yourself!
Second, I'd like to introduce myself and Buttons of Hope
for your consideration. I started Buttons of Hope to give people like you a way to personalize your cause. Rather than just scribbling a name on the back of your t-shirt -- now you can easily create your own custom photo button to honor a loved one or support a friend. Imagine if everyone at the Heart Walk wore a button with the smiling face of a loved one, WOW! [more on Buttons of Hope and me below]
This year over 1,000,000 walkers will participate in more than 600 events across the country, raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 3 killers, heart disease and stroke.
So grab a cup of coffee & take a look around -- I hope you will find this a useful and fun resource and please consider wearing a photo button in honor of your loved one ~ together we can put a face on heart disease!
