Hot Scarves: The Heated Fleece Scarf

In September 1998 I was hired to costume supervise a scene on the American feature film "Snow Falling on Cedars" in Kaslo, British Columbia.

One of my main tasks was to keep the two young actors warm in their rain-soaked costumes when the cameras weren't rolling. Using the heat pads I came up with the first version of the Hot Scarf. It worked like a charm and everyone was happy.

Take the heat pad out of the plastic wrapping and the air will automatically activate the heat. Pop the pad into the sewn pocket in the scarf and wait for approximately 5 minutes for full heat. Depending on the make of the pad, you will have heat for about 6 hours.
