God Whispers
A smile resonates upon my faceWords spark through my inquisitive mind
Feelings begin to radiate within my heart
My fingers tap-dance across the page
My soul grasps freedom
The burdens of the past extinguished
The bright future in abundance
God whispers hope and faith
Miracles plentiful appear

First Aid Kit For The Soul
Phenomenal Woman - Maya Angelou
Famous Poets
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Mistress
Mistress
Amorous kisses and tricks
Give way to a strangers desire
The willing mistress
awaits a man for her game
No love need be adorned
Only sinful seduction performed
She captivates and bewitches
Engulfed in her charms
No longer listless and calm
The truth of the immoral act
Haunts them with fear and shame
Their hearts drown as they quickly depart

Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of everyday's Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men strive for Right; I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints,-I
FIRST KISS

Long after we met
Still standing in forever
Our kindred spirits released
Beyond our wildest desires
To find love alone together
For I found you there
In nights glow lights
Full of moon beams
Shed of inhibitions
With no one to see
I kissed you secretly
Under the naked tree
Webbed in shadows
Embraced yet still free
For I found you there
In the warmth of the eve
Without a summer breeze
To be dancing in the droplets
Of Nectar sweet as a honey bee
Subtle light and free
To fly with you in dreams
Relished natures fantasy
Will blush my heart
When our lips touch
For I found you there

A Beautiful Love Poem by Nizbar Qabbani
"He lets me listen, when he moves me,
Words are not like other words
He takes me, from under my arms
He plants me, in a distant cloud
And the black rain in my eyes
Falls in torrents, torrents
He carries me with him, he carries me
To an evening of perfumed balconies
And I am like a child in his hands
Like a feather carried by the wind
He carries for me seven moons in his hands
and a bundle of songs
He gives me sun, he gives me summer
and flocks of swallows
He tells me that I am his treasure
And that I am equal to thousands of stars
And that I am treasure, and that I am
more beautiful than he has seen of paintings
He tells me things that make me dizzy
that make me forget the dance and the steps
Words...which overturn my history
which make me a woman...in seconds
He builds castles of fantasies
which I live in...for seconds...
And I return...I return to my table
Nothing with me...
Nothing with me...except words
Nizar Qabbani
Percy Bysshe Shelley
THE MOON
AND, like a dying lady
lean and pale,
Who totters forth, wrapp'd
in a gauzy veil,
Out of her chamber,
led by the insane
And feeble wanderings
of her fading brain,
The mood arose up
in the murky east,
A white and shapeless mass.
Art thou pale for weariness
Of climbing heaven and
gazing on the earth,
Wandering companionless
Among the stars that
have a different birth,
And ever changing,
like a joyless eye
That finds no object
worth its constancy?
Percy
PAWS
length of my torso
Diamond green, serene eyes
Velveteen curious nose
Tongue like a pumice stone
Her elegant but waddling stride
Powerful, confident and territorial
Sitting like a queen on her throne
Cat of mine, mother to be
Tuxedo, black and white, bow tie and all
White sock covered feet, satin gloves
Long white elderly whiskers
He reminds me of Fred Astair
Quick, calculated, light on his feet
Shy yet debonair
Patient, watchful and full of pride
Cat of mine, Father to be
Oreo, friend and foe
Black face and tail
Her back white as snow
Fearless fence and roof climber
Mischievous youngster on the prowl
Paws in the air, tummy exposed
Purring loud vibrations
Kitty of mine

awaken my inner spirit and fill me with delight.
Your gaze, magnetic, blue and moonlight bright,
clear as the evening night, gently captures my inner light.
Your heart, speaks softly and soulfully, whispering
faithfully and sometimes silently, but never in spite.
Your touch, captivating, tranquil and slight, caressing me slowly,
surrounding me with all of your might.
Your smile, brilliant and bright, tantalizing like a steamy,
summer night, summoning me gently to be your wife.

Affection
The earth that made the rose,She also is thy mother, and not I.
The flame wherewith thy maiden spirit glows
Was lighted at no hearth that I sit by.
I am as far below as heaven above thee.
Were I thine angel, more I could not love thee.
Bid me defend thee!
Thy danger over-human strength shall lend me,
A hand of iron and a heart of steel,
To strike, to wound, to slay, and not to feel.
But if you chide me,
I am a weak, defenceless child beside thee.
"Mary Elizabeth Coleridge"
Sonnet 17

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
in which there is no I or you
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand
so intimate that when you fall asleep it is my eyes that close
Pablo Neruda
Stardust Dreams
A stardust explosionwarm, wet, glittery
tingles on my skin,
abates my mind and
stimulates my soul.
Escape. Phantasies. Dreams.
A portal to a different dimension
is opening its gates
and augurs a soulmate.
Entrancing promises and
hypnotic dreams
of what lies
beneath.
Dreams are begging me to
go down an endless highway,
a timeless quest
to find them,
to see them materialize and
become a rightful part of my life.
They're begging me to
have faith in them,
to believe -
in them.
Believe in myself.
Here and there,
reality and dreamland
fuse in a secret space of
my mind.
A place I don't want to leave,
I never want to leave.
The door is opening,
the gates are closing.

Son & Father
A father with adoring eyes
Who is an example of love
And of Kindness and compassion
A father who is a mentor
Who teaches by example
And guides with understanding and patience
A father who is fun
Who laughs and runs
And plays with his children
A father who listens
Who is open minded
And who sees life positively
A father who shares a family Tradition
Who displays a pristine work ethic
And encourages his son to continue the tradition
Be proud father
Your son is a scholar
And an agile athlete
Be proud father
Your son shows a vision of you
And will carry those traits to his sons
Be proud father
Your son shows your heart
And soul and courage
Be proud father
Your son has the world in his hands
And is an incredible young man
Be proud father
Your son has a dream
And will carry on the family legacy

Love
Is the great work
Though every heart is first an
Apprentice
That slaves beneath the city of Light.
This wondrous trade,
This magnificent throne your soul
Is destined for-
You should not have to think
Much about it,
Is it not clear
An apprentice needs a teacher
Who himself
Has charmed the universe
To reveal its wonders inside his cup.
Happiness is the great work,
Though every heart must first become
A student
To one
Who really knows
About Love.
