Who is heidishome?
First I am a mother which already qualifies me for a multitude of job titles including short order cook, driver, mediator, psychologist, teacher, caregiver, referee to name a few. I began writing lenses with Squidoo over the 2009 Christmas holidays. I eventually had to break out of my pajamas and get back to my regular life. But I was drawn to the platform because I wanted to work on my writing and web skills. Plus it was a fun past-time. I love to make lists and Squidoo made it possible to share those things with others (and keep an easy record for myself!).
The Capital District Review
I created The Capital District Review as a way to begin a forum for local residents of the Albany, NY area. I was asked to join the Rocket Mom's Ning site shortly after joining Squidoo and realized what a powerful platform NIng offers. When I moved to the Albany area, I had a hard time finding activities and I wanted to share those experience with others. I thought Ning would be a great way to share this. Unfortunately, I needed a little more to get it started so I began a blog to tie it all together. Plus I use Squidoo to enhance my blog. Not only that, but I was able to leverage more fun modules Squidoo offers such as the RSS feed.
