Are you overweight? Enter your Height/Weight/Age:

Height Weight Age Tables
Theres a simple formula to evaluate your weight, and to see how heavy or light you are. Height-Weight-Age-Tables:
MEN & WOMEN: First determine if you have a Small, Medium, or Large frame. To do this, take the thumb and middle finger of your right hand, and grip the wrist of your left hand with those 2 fingers. IF:
- Your hold is loose, you have a small frame.
- If your fingers just touch, you have a medium frame.
- If your thumb and middle finger don't meet, you have a large frame.

WOMEN: 1. If you're height is at least 5 feet, add 100 pounds.
2. For every inch above 5FT, add 5 pounds.
3. Add 10% if you have a large frame, deduct 10% for a small frame.
4. This is your ideal poundage.

MEN: 1. If you're height is at least 5 feet, add 106 pounds.
2. Add 6 pounds for every additional inch over 5 ft.
3. Add 10% if you have a large frame, deduct 10% for a small frame.
4. This is your ideal poundage.

How does your ideal poundage compare to your actual weight?

Are you underweight, overweight, or obese?

Divide your actual weight by your ideal poundage.

- If the result is below 1.00, you are under the ideal poundage.
- If the result is between 1.00 and 1.10, your poundage is ideal.
- If the result is between 1.11 and 1.20, you are overweight.
- If the result is between 1.21 and 1.30, you are obese.

And there you have it! (Age doesn't play a large factor in ideal poundage, it's 90% height.)

Determine your BMI

Not based off Height/Weight/Age

BMI is an acronym that stands for Body Mass Index. These days, far too much emphasis is put into the importance of just simply how much you weigh." The amount you weigh isn't important when it comes to health, your BMI (body fat) is what really counts. Muscle weighs much more than fat. Most exercises (running, swimming, cycling, etc.) build a lot of muscle, so you wont see your weight lower too much after continual practice of these activity's. Knowing your BMI is important, high BMI will almost always lead to heart problems, asthma, pneumonia, or other medical complications. Especially if you have a history of any of these illnesses in your family.

So how do you calculate your BMI?

Calculating your BMI won't be accurate with height/weight/age tables or a formula. You need to use the scale at your doctors office or purchase a BMI scale.

I'm eating healthy and working out frequently, but not losing weight. What gives?

It's very possible that you're losing Body Fat and gaining muscle, so your weight is still the same. To find out for sure, you should consider purchasing a BMI scale. BMI scales are designed specially to give you your Body Mass Index( Body Fat %'s.) You can purchase a BMI scale from the links below.
