You don't have to be skilled at sugarcraft or cake decoration to give your cakes a cute Hello Kitty theme. Whether you're looking to decorate some cupcakes or a larger celebration cake, there is a pre-made Hello Kitty cake topper to give your cakes the kawaii touch. A Hello Kitty decorated cake works equally well on it's own or as part of a themed party and will delight any sweet toothed fan of the world's best loved Kitty.
Basic Cake Recipe
6oz butter
7oz sugar
8oz plain flour
1 level tsp baking powder
4 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
1. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth.
2. Beat in the eggs, milk and vanilla extract.
3. Slowly add the flour and baking powder again until smooth.
4. Sppon the mixture into two round baking tins and cook for approx 50 mins or until ready.
5. To test if the cake is ready gently press it in the middle, if the sponge springs back it's ready. If not leave to bake for another few minutes.
6. Let the sponges cool and sandwich together using either jam, cream, soft cream icing or thick yoghurt and you're ready to start decorating your cake.
