How to make Hello kitty cookies

I didn't have a hello kitty cookie cutter for this kitty cookie. So I did a little compromising. For the face, I used a round cookie cutter and shaped the dough to make it more oval. Then cut two small triangles for the ears and attached them with a little bit of water. With black cookie dough, I made two small oval shapes for the eyes. The nose was made with yellow cookie dough and also shaped by hand. I attached three brown sprinkles on each side for the whiskers.


The trickiest part was hello kitty's bow, which I made with pink cookie dough. I thought it would either burn in the oven or not cook at all but it was just fine, as long as the dough is rolled out very thin. The bow was made in three pieces, for the center I just rolled a small ball and placed it on the cookie. The sides were made by rolling out the dough very thin and cutting a small strip of dough, then I folded it in half and placed it beside the ball. Tricky but cute.
