Hellraiser

Lemarchand's box is a fictional puzzle box created for the Hellraiser series by Philip Lemarchand, a French maker of mechanical singing birds.

Frank Cotton is a despicable, uncaring man who has grown bored with life's most extreme pleasures. When he hears about and eventually acquires a puzzle box which can open the door to a new world of perverse pleasures, he finds out that one man's pleasure is another man's pain under the tutelage of the Cenobites. Somehow, he manages to escape the other world, and when his brother's blood is spilled in his chamber of horrors, his body begins to reform itself. More blood is required to complete the job, and his brother's wife Julia supplies it by picking up men at bars and bringing them home for Frank's nourishment. The prim and proper Julia was ravaged by Frank soon before her wedding to Frank's brother Larry, and she enjoyed the experience so much that she will do anything to get Frank restored to vaguely human-looking life. Larry's daughter Kirsty, played by Ashley Laurence in her motion picture debut, discovers what is going on and manages to get her hands on the puzzle box. When she is introduced to the Cenobites, the fun truly begins.

A year after the first movie, Kirsty (Ashley Lawrence) has been sent to a insitute after no one believed that creatures killed her family. However there is a preety girl patient named Tiffany (Inogen Boorman) who is good at solving puzzles and is a favorite patient of Dr. Channard (Kennth Cranham) whom has been obsessed with searching for a key to another dimension. He finds the bloody mattress where Julia (Clare Higgins) died then resurrects her to help Dr. Channard to summon the forces of evil, the Cenobites lead by Pinhead (Doug Bradley) have returned very unhappy as they seek revenge and now Kirsty is the only one that can end the demons even if she has to literally go to hell.

TV reporter Joey Summerskill (Terry Farrell) is on assignment at a local hospital when a bloodied teenage boy is rushed into the emergency room. As Joey watches, the writhing boy is literally torn apart by chains impaling his body. Fleeing the carnage, Joey follows the victim's girlfriend to a downtown nightclub, the Boiler Room. In the apartment above the Boiler Room rests the owner's newly purchased sculpture: A pillar etched with distorted figures and faces. Among the frozen images is Pinhead. Tonight he shall be released to walk free on Earth!

The plot focuses on the l'Merchant family (the makers of the original box/doorway to hell). The story starts on what seems to be a derelict space station, where the latest Merchant (Bruce Ramsey) is doing something mysterious with the proverbial little puzzle box. He is interrupted by when a team comes to investigate the apparent hijacking of the station. Merchant explains the history of the box and the reason for his actions

Hellraiser: Inferno is a more of a psychological thriller then the typical, Pinhead the slasher, of the previous take on the Hellraiser series. The plot follows the descent into obsession and madness of a corrupt detective who discovers the Lament Configuration box while working on a series of ritualistic murders.

Hellraiser - Hellseeker brings back Kirsty Cotten, from the first two Hellraisers.
Kirsty is now grown up and married to Trevor Gooden. Her memory of the events that took place back at her parent's home (Hellraiser) and the mental institution (Hellraiser 2) have dimmed, but she is still traumatized. The two get into a fatal car crash, killing Kirsty. Now, Trevor finds himself in a strange world full of sexy women, greed and murder, making him believe he may be in hell. He follows the clues all the way to Pinhead.

A newspaper reporter (Kari Wuhrer) receives a videotape purporting to show the suicide and apparant resurrection of a member of a cult called the 'Deaders' (who happens to possess one of the LeMarchand Boxes) and is dispatched by her paper to Romania to investigate.

Pinhead returns to terrorize computer hackers that have opened a virtual Lament Configuration on the website Hellworld.com (fake website). A party is organized for some of players, seeking vengeance, the host unleashes Pinhead and the gateway to hell.
