The most generous friend I've ever known
One evening when I was on my way out of the employee lounge, I happened to ask her if she knew of anyone who was renting an apartment or even a room they'd rent until I found a place. her immediate reply was "You can stay with me. My younger son just moved out and you can use his room"
Needless to say, I accepted her offer and the next say she came to the hotel for me and that was the beginning of a good friendship.

Please read the entire lens before jumping to conclusions as I sometimes do myself.) :) any money made through this lens will be given to Ann.
Time passed...
and disaster struck
Disaster #1: In May of 2005 her brother's youngest son was hit by a Mack truck and killed instantly.
Disaster #2: In September of 2006, Ann's younger son was hit by a van and his body was crushed so badly that it had to be taped so it would hold together for viewing.
Disaster #3: A couple of weeks after her son's death, her favorite aunt died. (A natural death this time though.)
Disaster #4: Within 2 or 3 weeks, her uncle died. (Also a natural death.)
As you can imagine, her state of mind was not the best after all this and as a result of all the tragedies, she was conned out of a very large sum of money.
Disaster #5: We both lost our jobs within 3 1/2 months of each other.
More losses..
job losses...
Unfortunately, senior citizens who are not in the best of health aren't exactly welcomed into the job market and eventually my savings and Ann's IRA ran out.
Disaster #6: She received a foreclosure notice for March 1st, 2007.
She had a neighbor who worked for Wells Fargo as a Mortgage Broker and who offered to buy the house and rent it to her.
This person kept stalling and stalling on the sale of the house and the day before foreclosure he sold it to his business partner. He sold it all right and conned her out of the equity. This wouldn't have happened if she had been her normal self but due to all the 'disasters' she'd been through, her mental state was a long way from being normal.
Disaster #7::
Out of money...
Disaster #7: In October of 2007 her IRA ran out. My savings had run out months before this even then she didn't make me leave even though she knew I wouldn't have money to pay her rent. As I said, the most generous person I've ever met.During our time of unemployment, we tired selling on auctions, putting ad On Craig's list, Kijiji, and other classified ad sites in an effort to have some money coming in.
With neither of us working, we were getting pretty desperate so we joined some of those "earn money to read email", "make money answering surveys", and other so-called money making ventures.
I also created a design in honor of the military in hopes that Americans will be patriotic enough to purchase one, not only to help out a wonderful woman but also to show their appreciation to the men and woman who fought and still fight for our country and our freedom. In the upper right corner of this module is a thumbnail of the design.
Please take a look at the design and find it in your heart to purchase a product to help a helpless senior citizen. Thank you.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm not looking for charity for her. That would only embarrass her. I am asking that you consider purchasing a product. The profit margin isn't great to be sure, but then, every little bit helps. Thank you.
Disaster #8:
Eviction...
She also called every government agency imaginable as well as churches and many, many other places. None of it did any good. Today she received a legal eviction notice which stated that she has to vacate the premises by June 19th at 1 P.M.

contact & phone
Please note that I will not email you with a phone number if I think you're not a safe person to give it to.
If any of you know of any way to help her, please don't hesitate to do so. She has applied for disability but won't get it until July so if any of can help her in any way until the, please feel free to do so.
