Over time and through use, errors and bad sectors develop on your hard drive. Then whenever you or an application try to access the information saved in these bad sectors you system will often freeze.

To keep your hard drive in optimum condition you should run the disk defragmenter utility that come with windows operating system.

A corrupted or damaged windows registry is the number one cause of frequent system freezes. By regularly scanning the registry for errors and removing all unwanted and obsolete entries from it you will eliminate frozen screens from your pc.
