Flying with the Blue Angels is my husband's dream

Some of you may know that my hubby and I are highschool sweethearts. We have been through difficult times in out marriage and, so far, have come out of them a better couple. My husband is my world and he does everything he can to make me happy. The last 18 months have been hard on our family because of job loss and legal battles. I would love nothing more than to make my husband's dream of flying in a Blue Angel a reality. I would love your help...all of you.

Update Well, Roger and I just celebrated out 10 year wedding anniversary on November 13th. I was hoping to have this surprise for on by then but, alas, it did not happen. I have written to several celebrities and out local news stations but none have responded. I am going to keep this page a secret from Roger as long as I can and hope that this still comes through for him. I will be sure to keep you updated on any contacts I make. In the meantime, keep sharing the Facebook group and getting the word out. Thanks for all the help guys! - Jessica

Making A Dream Come True

Flying With The Blue Angels

Since I met my husband in 1999, he has told me about his dream to be a fighter pilot. Since he had poor vision, he knew that dream would not be coming true. As a young teen, he turned his sites to a new goal...becoming a United States Marine. Right after highschool, he went off to boot camp and made that dream a reality. I am so proud of the husband and father that he has become and how hard he works for our family. I want to give him another dream, flying with the Blue Angels.

Every time he sees a movie with a fighter jet he goes nuts. "I would love to do that one day!" I have to make this happen for him...but how?

This Is A Secret!

You got it...Roger has no idea that I have set this up and I am going to do everything I can to keep it from him. If you know him, DO NOT tell him!

I Need Your Help!

Make my husband a celebrity

I have been racking my brains for months trying to find a way to get him on the Blue Angels. We live paycheck to paycheck so I cannot even afford to get him to a show to watch the Blue Angels...let alone fly in one. After doing some research, I have learned that there are four ways to get a shot at this once in a lifetime flight.

1. Be in the media

2. Be in politics

3. Be in the navy as a pilot

4. Be a celebrity

Since my husband is none of these things, I thought my chances were doomed. I decided to think outside of the box. I can make him a celebrity. I decided that I am going to get the word out that I have to make this dream come true for him. I am going to make my husband an online celebrity and hope that someone who has the authority to make this happen will answer my prayers. Think I'm crazy? Me too. This may back fire completely but in the end I will know that I did everything I could.

This is where you come in. I need you all to help me spread the word. Like this page. Share it on Facebook. Tweet about it. Digg it. Whatever you can do to spread this page around the web. Give a former Marine the dream of a lifetime.

I would love for him to be able to do this. I myself have longed for the ability to be able to fly with either the Blue Angel, or the Air-force Thunder Birds. I have contacted my congress man and everything. He passed it on to the higher ups. I received a letter from the Department of the Navy and was informed that You need to me A celebrity, Politician, or someone of great influence in your community. They use these people as recruiting tools when they show the flights. I wish you well in your endeavor, and should you succeed, please contact me and let me know how you did it! jandtkeown1@windstream.net

I love the fact that you are still so in love with your husband after 10 years and you are bold enough to try to achieve an "impossible" dream for him. THAT's love!! And I love his dream because I've seen the Blue Angels fly and they're amazing!! I would also love to have that experience (even though I know I'd probably puke or pass out!).

What about also enlisting the aid of an actual celebrity like, say, Ellen DeGeneres? She loves to do crazy things and help people achieve their dreams. Get him on her show! Good luck! I hope his dream comes true. :-)
