How to start
Right - I have just signed up for
the great Squidoo and I have to
make my first lens...now what.
What can little ol' me tell you that you would be interested in.... What can I tell you that you don't already know,or haven't heard before.
I think very little, but there are some things that cannot be said and emphasized too much.
Here are a few tips on what to do
when you want to start an online business.....
What I want to share with you is nothing new, but just expressed in new words.
I have not heard of anyone who has REALLY made money on the internet without first learning the basics. There is no such thing as "INSTANT RICHES" - that is something that does not exist online or offline. You have to learn the ropes first, then work hard at it.
Earning money on the internet is certainly not for the lazy - you do need to work hard....BUT...
Yes there is a "BUT" - you can work at something you enjoy, and then it is not "work"

FOCUS IS THE SECRET
As long as you do what you enjoy, you will also enjoy what you do.... simple isn't it.
It is no use trying to do anything on the internet unless you are enjoying it, otherwise it will be just like any other job and you will hate doing it.
Before you start signing up for everything you see that promises you riches in the next 10 minutes or three days or whatever, you have to find YOUR PASSION and FOCUS on it.
You will only enjoy what you do on the internet if it involves something you would enjoy doing even if you did not earn from it. You need to discover your passion, and find a way to monetize it, then it becomes a pleasure instead of work.
Once you have found your passion and started to FOCUS on it then you are ready to start learning what to do.
Let me give you a few tips here:
Focus on ONE thing at a time.
Build a list of subscribers that you can promote to.
Build a relationship with the subscribers on your list. The best way to do this is through social networking sites, and Skype. A Skype room is an excellent way of getting to know your subscribers. Join the Skype Tips Room from here: Skype
Get a good autoresponder. I use and recommend AWeber
