    Good information on this lens. Thank you for sharing this. I wish I could be making some money like that right now. I have some lenses made but so far one is only making a few sales. I would like to make at least eventually 2,000 month. I know it can take some time though.

    Hi Lisa, Not too long ago I decided to explore the world of internet marketing and through searches, I stumbled on one of your lens which led me to another and another and you also led me to potpiegirl.     Squidoo can be overwhelming when you first start. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Lensmasters are quite helpful.

    Dear Lisa, I just joined Squidoo yesterday, and am already hooked. I can't stop reading all the wonderful information put out there by Giant Squids like you. I had to resign from a VP position last year after having been diagnosed with systemic lupus and being unable to give the position all that it needed. I've been dropping in on Squidoo for about 2 months now, and finally decided to get my feet wet yesterday by signing up. Thank you for all your fantastic tips and links. Wait til the other lupus folks hear about this site and how wonderful the support is..like our own support group; full of wisdom & encouragement. Thanks again

    Having just started here on Squidoo I am trying to absorb as much as I can in order to do the best job that I can with writing my lens's.     Tomorrow is going to be my 30th day on Squidoo. I'm still feeling my way around, thanks to pioneers like you, I feel supported on taking my baby steps.     This is what I was looking for when I searched for Squidoo help, thank you. I didn't know about the AllPosters affiliate program, so I have that open in a new tab, ready to check out.     These are great Squidoo tips Lisa- thanks for bringing up the favorites being 'footprints' on squidoo. I noticed that the Favoriting option is not visible to non squids viewing the page. I've also noticed a number of high ranking lenses have odd looking favorite accounts with no bio, lenses, photo- just a high number of favorited and squidliked accounts. Could these be some sort of 'internal fan club' on Squidoo? Curious if you know anything about these accounts as you've been here for awhile and I'm keen on getting to know the community.     This is great information. One method that I found has helped me is sports retired athletes A tribute page of those that have left amazing records behind. One page leads to another player and page leads to another and so on. Each player is there own topic.

    Very helpful lens for those just starting out. I love the way Squidoo has squid utils, especially the lens value tool. Squidoo has so much information available, if people took time to read it all they would be well on their well.

    No, I am only kidding, LOL. I am at that stage when having made a few lense I am finding it difficult to see how to compare myself with the lensmasters you quote from, and many others I have found on Squidoo.     Good comprehensive tips here. I made a Squidoo goal for the week and that keeps me motivated. However, as far as lens topic I find that when I create them by inspiration I can do it very fast rather than when I try to go by a list of what to create.

    Excellent lens with some great ideas and tips. Finding topics to create lenses about really isn't a problem if you think about it. There is a wealth of opportunity to write about where you live (Country, State/County, City, or even District). How about your favorite restaurants or types of food. How about family traditions, or things you did growing up that might be different to other people. How about a debate on something... plenty of ideas.

    For self motivation, I set a kitchen timer in 15 min. increments. I don't get bored and get a lot done within an hour's time.

    The thing with actually reading a lens is, INFORMATION OVERLOAD!! ..and you never get finished; I just found myself lens-hopping for a few hours, and I'm just coming back to thank you for all the great information.. but I'm not done yet. How I hate this site I love.

    Your lens is well done, nicely organized, and gets to the point. I've stayed away from trying to make certain number of lenses per day or week or month. My ideas for lenses tends to come in bunches and vary depending on my current interests. I have definitely found it helpful to look at other people's lenses to be inspired and encouraged.     Thank you very much for this lens. Especially helpful to me were the Creative Commons search engine (if I don't have my own photo, I usually use Flickr, but it takes awhile to find properly licensed photos there sometimes), and the info on backlinking.

    I'm working on my first five lenses, and your info will help me as I continue on. :)

    Oh my, I feel like my head is going to explode with all I've learned on Squidoo, from making cool tutu's for my little girl to promoting my own lenses. I love this lens because of it's straight forwardness, and believe me, i too have worked on a lens and thought, NOW WHAT!? I will be lensrolling this to my Blessed Cyn lens.     Fantastic collection of tips here! Participation is certainly the best way to achieve Squidoo success. Read others work, 'favorite' lenses to come back to them, ask for critiques in SquidU, make thoughtful comments on others' work - you've got it covered.

    In fact, that's how I came to this lens: I was just overlooking one of my own that you commented on (Affiliate Mom - How I Make Money Online). Today I happen to be giving back to all the people that have appreciated my work by returning the favor and spending some time with a lens from each meaningful commentator.
