How to Save My Marriage

Are you willing to put aside some of that big ol' ego of yours and fight to save your marriage? I hope your answer is yes. I am assuming if you are reading this lens then your answer is yes. Our society has let the virture of marriage fall to the side and it is such a shame. It wasn't so long ago that people really took pride in their marriage and put the effort in to maintain a good relationship.

In my opionion I believe that part of the problem is respect. Respect is definitely one of those things that people have to earn. But when you marry someone respect is the one thing that should be on top of the list. Not sure how you can have a truly intimate relationship with someone without respecting them. And from my experience and observations of my own marriage and others, respect seems to be the one BIG issue that can put a marriage in trouble. Both spouses need to feel respected but men must have respect. So much of their identity is wrapped up in how their partner feels about them. It isn't just about feeling loved like women desire. Has your marriage lost the respect it deserves?

If you are having probems in your marriage due to the lack of respect then you still have hope in fixing your marriage. Certainly respect has to be earned but sometimes it is there but not shown. Sometimes we forget to tell our spouses that not only do we love them but we have the highest regard and respect for them. Verbally telling our spouses, especially our husbands that we respect them can save your marriage immediately. At least start with telling each other what you respect about each other. You may have to work on gaining and giving respect in areas of your life but I am confident that you can at least start with something. A little respect can go a very long way. Start now!
