2.When you first start housetraining your dog, have them close to while you are in the house. That means having them on a leash. By doing this you will be sure not to miss the event when it occurs.

4. Be prepared for the learning process to take time to work. Some puppy's pick it up quicker then others. You will get there eventually.

If you fancy your chances of successfully potty training your puppy or dog, then go ahead, but be prepared for failure. This might happen because when it seems doggy has got the message and everything is going well, then without warning, there is a setback, and puddles start appearing on the carpets and floors again.
