Research shows that bleeding hemorrhoids tend to happen in older people due to the weakening of the veins in the anal area over time, but that does not mean that a younger person will be excluded from this ailment. It is also shown that it might not only be the age factor to blame for this but also the inactivity and dietary habits. When hemorrhoids bleed a person may encounter an elevated pain level over someone with non-bleeding hemorrhoids.

Bleeding hemorrhoids are usually treated with surgery depending on the severity and whether they are internal or external or both. Surgery definitely helps begin the healing process and the recovery can be more painful than the actual problem. When hemorrhoids bleed and are deemed to not need surgery, there are some other methods you can try, to put an end to the problem all together.
