    Hi paininthebutt,

    Sorry for not replying sooner.

Without treatment unfortunately hemorrhoids rarely goes away on its own. On rare occasions it may shrink a little and give the impression that its going away when in fact it will just come back and in most cases it gets worst over time.

My advice is don't wait, hoping that it might just disappear cos it's not gonna. You may start off trying some topical treatment like Venapro. But if it still persists then you might want to opt for Rubber Band Ligation.

    Hope this helps.

    Tim

How long do I have to wait until it goes away by itself? Day, weeks, months?

Hi Jamie, thanks for dropping by.

Rubber banding cuts off blood circulation to your hemorrhoids which will cause it to wither and fall off. When this happens, it is very common for it to bleed a little.

Give it a couple of days to heal and if you still notice blood after a week, you should visit the doctor for a check.

    Hi,
Thanks for the great info. I've got a question. I had rubber banding done more than a week ago but it's starting to bleed a little. Is this normal? Or is it a sign that I'm getting another hemroid?
    Thanks
