Hemp jewelry Knots

Once you've got your jewelry piece started, you'll need to decide which knot you'll be using, and this will determine what your jewelry will look like. There are several different hemp jewelry knots and the main ones are: Half knot, Square knot, Larkshead knot, and the Fishbone knot. In this article I'll give you some examples of each of these knots and explain how to tie them. Hopefully it will inspire you to make your own hemp jewelry!

Hemp Jewelry I've Made

This is a hemp bracelet made of dark brown beads and medium thickness hemp in a flat pattern.

This is an example of a half-knot bracelet. The half-knot is used to make spiral jewelry like that see above.

This is an example of a Square-Knot bracelet. The square knot is used to make bracelets with a flat pattern.

This is an example of a Fishbone-Knot bracelet. The Fishbone-Knot jewelry is essentially made with multiple sets of square-knots, each of a different color.
