I love the idea of legalizing hemp so it can finally come back and improve the US by not having to rely on wood paper products. The earth would be better for it. Great lens I look forward to buying more and more hemp products.

We have imported and sold hemp from Nepal for over a decade. It is the strongest and most durable fabric available. The hemp wallets that we offer on http://www.hitherandyon.com/servlet/the-Hemp/Categories last for many years! A truly extraordinary natural fiber, I can't wait for the day when the U.S. allows farmers to grow this amazing plant. Viva Hemp! Aloha, Colin hitherandyon.com

Very interesting lens on hemp versus cotton. It makes you wonder what has gone on behind the scenes to discourage the use of hemp. Thanks for letting people know where they can find hemp products. Blessed.

The demise of one of the best plant that human has ever used:

In the 50’s Politicians in Washington accepted large sums of money from DuPont De Nemours to criminalize the cultivation of hemp and to help DuPont and the oil industry to market Nylon and other petrochemical derived fibers (synthetics) Also Hemp cultivation requires no synthetic pesticides. This is very bad for the petrochemical industry whose manufacturing pesticides! Killing a whole farming, food and fiber industry along with million jobs!

I used to live in Victoria, BC, and I'd walk past a Hemp & Company store nearly everyday. I even saw a BICYCLE made of hemp once. :-)

    With Love and Gratitude,

    Jeremiah

PS: Maybe it wasn't made of hemp, but it was at least wrapped in hemp. ;-)

Fantastic lens. I knew that hemp was used for long lasting rope years ago and that farmers were fighting to grow it for clothing again, but I didn't realize that it was used in so many other products. 5*'s and favorite Please consider joining my Naturally Native Squids group - http://www.squidoo.com/groups/naturallynative
