Henbit - Lamium amplexicaule

its a mint !
its a weed !
its both !

and it grows profusely in my yard, especially in the garden, The rich loamy compost enriched soil seems to agree with henbits wants and needs.
With its tiny purple flowers it is a pretty little plant, and adds a nice touch if there isn't much else growing, but I've been trying to replace its little niche with alyssum,, a far prettier and more fragrant low growing plant.
