I'm not a photographer, but I do like to carry a camera with me. Often a small point-and-shoot camera that fits easily in my pocket, but since 2011 I also have a basic DSLR camera. And although I can't compete with experienced photographers with their expensive cameras and fancy lenses, my photos often do come out quite nice.

My camera

Canon ixus 50My trusted companion since 2005: A Canon IXUS 50. Most photos on this page were taken with this camera.

In the spring of 2011 I finally bought a DSLR. Nothing fancy: Canon's starter model, the EOS 1000D. I still use my IXUS sometimes - it is small and fits easily into my pocket, and it is quick and easy to use. But most of my new photos are taken with the EOS.
