Service Dogs for Veterans

service dogs for veteransHero Dogs, Inc. is in the initial stage of its not-for-profit status, as a result, we are not currently accepting applications. This first stage is critical to implementing a successful matching model founded on identifying quality puppy raisers and/or breeders, raising public awareness of our mission, and recruiting a skilled and committed Board of Directors and volunteers. We are in the process of defining our application procedure and expect to begin accepting applications for service dogs in January of 2011.

I made Hero Dogs my primary charity for new lens on our Labrador Retriever puppies, http://www.squidoo.com/labrador-retriever-puppies. Hopefully the traffic will grow as fast as the puppies did!

Actually I'd be interested in hearing more about your processes where breeders can donate puppies. We had one puppy in this litter, sold now, who seemed born to be a service or therapy dog. I didn't look into it, because I thought most of those organizations had their own breeding programs.

    Keep up the good work!
