Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006.
The early plot tells the stories of disparate and ordinary individuals from around the world who inexplicably develop superhuman abilities, and whose lives become gradually intertwined as they each find themselves in a similar path to save the world. The series also explores how these people adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Season One
- Genesis
- Various people around the world discover evidence of real superpowers. Claire Bennet can instantly heal physical injuries to her own body. Isaac Mendez can precognitively paint future events (only through added means). Hiro Nakamura is able to manipulate time, travel through it, and teleport. Mohinder Suresh tries to continue his recently deceased father's work by finding these people.
- Don't Look Back
- Los Angeles cop Matt Parkman is introduced, with the ability to hear other people's thoughts. Mohinder meets his father's neighbor, Eden McCain. Niki Sanders finds some brutally murdered thugs in her garage and leaves town with her son, Micah. Nathan denies flying, despite Peter knowing he did. Hiro travels five weeks in the future from Tokyo, Japan to New York City in a second.
- One Giant Leap
- Hiro seeks the help of his friend Ando Masahashi. Matt is questioned by FBI agent Audrey Hanson about suspected serial killer Sylar, who Mohinder learns had a connection with his father. Matt and Audrey confront Sylar but he gets away. Claire is nearly raped and suffers a fatal head injury, but awakes to find herself undergoing an autopsy. Matt later falls unconscious in a bar after seeing the Haitian.
- Collision
- Matt is kidnapped by Mr. Bennet and the Haitian. Claire escapes from the autopsy table and seeks revenge on Brody. Hiro and Ando gamble in Las Vegas and later get trapped by four men they gambled with. In the same casino Niki meets Nathan. Peter finds and tries to convince Mohinder of Peter and Isaac's powers, and later meets Hiro from the future.
- Hiros
- Mohinder gives up searching for superhumans and makes plans to return to India to lay both his father's remains and his research to rest. Matt uses his abilities to impress his wife. D.L. Hawkins appears, and is wanted by police. Peter receives a life-changing message from Future Hiro.
- Better Halves
- Hiro questions his own heroism. Mr. Bennet sets up a meeting for his daughter Claire with her biological parents. Isaac receives calls in Japanese from Hiro and doesn't understand them, but Peter is there this time to pick up the phone and tell Hiro what Future Hiro said. D.L. arrives at his wife, Niki Sanders', home. Mohinder bids farewell to Eden as he heads back to India to bury his father.
- Nothing to Hide
- Matt assists Audrey's investigation into another odd murder, but their pursuit of mysterious serial killer Sylar takes an unexpected turn. Nathan and his wife, Heidi, strategize how to win the congressional election. Determined to see one of Isaac's paintings that Simone sold, Peter asks Nathan for help. Micah's power is revealed.
- Seven Minutes to Midnight
- A mysterious boy visits Mohinder in his dreams, which makes him reconsider giving up his father's search. Hiro and Ando stop at a diner and meet Charlie Andrews.
- Homecoming
- "Save the cheerleader, save the world" comes to a conclusion. Hiro tries to right a wrong. Jackie Wilcox is mistaken for Claire by Sylar. Sylar and Peter fight and fall off of the roof of Claire's high school. Peter heals and realizes that Sylar is gone, who is captured by Eden. Claire reveals her secret to her father. Nathan and Simone work together to find Isaac's painting for Peter. Claire reveals her power to Mr. Bennet.
- Six Months Ago
- Hiro seeks to prevent Charlie's death by going back in time. Six months before the series began, Chandra Suresh arrives in New York to begin his quest to find humans with superpowers, and first meets Sylar, tragedy strikes the Petrelli family, and Claire makes a life-changing discovery.
- Fallout
- Isaac seeks to paint the future without using drugs. Matt and Audrey investigate the Homecoming disaster. Niki makes a move to protect her family from Jessica. Peter fears he is responsible for the explosion of New York City.
- Godsend
- While in a coma, Peter has another vision. Hiro begins his quest for his sword and Claire begins to rebuild her life.
- The Fix
- Peter continues to follow the invisible man while his brother, Nathan, seeks help from Mohinder. Matt's wife comes to terms with Matt's thought-hearing power. Hiro and Ando kidnapped by men working for his father. Claire searches for her biological parents. Micah Sanders uses his powers to take large amounts of money from an automated teller machine. It is believed that Sylar's storyline takes another unusual turn.
- Distractions
- Hiro deals with explaining his new heroic path in life to his ambitious sister and tycoon father. Peter begins to question those closest to him. Niki has the chance to reunite with D.L and their son, Micah. Sylar makes a move against Mr. Bennet.
- Run!
- Matt takes a job as a bodyguard, which puts him in an assassin's line of fire; Hiro returns to Las Vegas to get the sword; Mohinder locates another from the list, who actually wants to meet with him.
- Unexpected
- Peter is disappointed by a betrayal; Claire can't contain her anger toward her father; Matt loses control when radioactive refugee Ted Sprague (Matthew John Armstrong) shows up with a new hero (Stana Katic) who has "wireless" mental powers.
- Company Man
- The Bennets are taken hostage by Matt and Ted Sprague, which leads to a tragic showdown---and some insight into Mr. Bennet's mysterious past. Eric Roberts guest stars.
- Parasite
- Nathan meets Linderman in person just before the election; Hiro goes for the sword again with dire consequences; Suresh makes a breakthrough on "the list"; another person with powers, Candice Wilmer (Missy Peregrym), shows up.

- After "helping" Suresh search for more people with special abilities, Sylar's rampage continues with two "heroes" being confronted by the stronger-powered serial killer. Nathan must factor what he's learned from Linderman into difficult decisions that will shape the future--for him, his family, New York City and the world. As Thompson uses every tool at his disposal to find Claire, Linderman drafts Jessica into his far-reaching plans. Meanwhile, Hiro's resolve to "save the world" strengthens in the face of a grim reality.
- Five Years Gone
- Hiro and Ando find themselves five years after the destruction of New York City. People with abilities are labeled as terrorists and are being registered, hunted, and killed. Hiro and Ando meet up with darker versions of the other heroes in preparation for a showdown with the President. This includes a darker side of Matt, a Jessica/Niki with a clear winner in their battle, a brown-haired Claire, Future Hiro, and Sylar.
- The Hard Part
- Hiro and Ando are more determined than ever to stop the explosion. Nathan takes suprising steps to win the election. Jessica and D.L. learn how their family fits into Linderman's plans. Sylar visits his mother. Thompson brings someone new into the Company.
- Landslide
- Nathan is poised to become a member of Congress, but must consider those he loves and the advice of his mother and Linderman. Hiro learns of his lineage from his father, and prepares to face Sylar to the death. Peter and Ted attempt to leave New York City before the explosion. Matt and Mr. Bennet learn the truth behind the Company's tracking system.
- How to Stop an Exploding Man
- Isaac's predictions begin to unfold, and the people with abilities face moments of pain and peril in Kirby Plaza as the first volume of "Heroes" comes to a close - and the next chapter begins.
Season Two
- S02E01 - Four Months Later...
- The story resumes four months after the first season's finale. Mohinder has a run-in with the Company. The Bennets attempt to live under the radar in a new Californian town. Hiro meets his childhood hero Takezo Kensei. Twins Maya and Alejandro flee a murder charge in Honduras. A connection is uncovered between Kaito Nakamura and Angela Petrelli.
- S02E02 - Lizards
- Claire fends off another student's suspicions. Maya and Alejandro's abilities are revealed as they make their way to Mexico. Mohinder encounters an old friend while on a mission for the Company. Hiro works to contain the damage caused by his journey into the past. And Peter falls in with Irish gangsters and he begins to rediscover his abilities.
- S02E03 - Kindred
- Mohinder searches for the last of Isaac Mendez's paintings. Maya and Alejandro are separated. Hiro help Kensei develop his skills and become the hero of legend. Niki and Micah leave Las Vegas to get away from their past. Claire discovers some of West's secrets. Peter agrees to help the gangsters in order to discover his identity.
- S02E04- The Kindness of Strangers
- As Micah settles into his new home in New Orleans, his cousin Monica discovers her own ability. Matt enlists Nathan's help to find the killer, and discovers something about his own past. Maya and Alejandro find a new travelling companion. Claire tries to balance family secrets with a burgeoning romance.
- S02E05 - Fight or Flight
- As Peter contemplates opening the box, Elle tries to find where Peter is. Matt and Nathan visit Matt's father in order to save Molly. Meanwhile Mohinder sends Molly back to the Company for a cure, much to Noah's dismay. Monica tries out her new abilities. Ando tries to read the ancient messages given to him by Hiro.
- S02E06 - The Line
- Peter tries to track down the people who are hunting him. Meanwhile, Bob asks Mohinder to experiment on Monica. Back in time, Hiro and Kensei work to free Yaeko's father, only to discover that there's a much bigger threat behind White Beard's army.
- S02E07 - Out of Time
- Peter finds himself a year into the future, where 93% of the world's population has died of the "Shanti virus". West learns the man who abducted him is Claire's father. Hiro defeats White Beard and returns to the present time. Matt, Nathan and Mohinder try to combat both Maury Parkman and the Shanti virus. The true identity of the mysterious "Adam Monroe" is revealed.
- S02E08 - Four Months Ago
- Nathan pays a price for his previous heroic actions. After Peter survives the bomb scare in New York City, the Company sees him as a threat. D.L. makes the ultimate sacrifice for his family. Maya reveals her power, which leads her and Alejandro to America in search for help.
- S02E09 - Cautionary Tales
- The Bennet family prepare to go on the run before the Company finds them. Hiro goes back in time and discovers who killed his father. Mohinder encounters Elle, forcing him to make a decision that could end up changing lives. Matt faces various obstacles as he deals with his expanding mental abilities.
- S02E10 - Truth and Consequences
- Peter attempts to destroy the virus that wipes out most of Earth's population. Hiro hunts his father's killer. Maya must choose between Alejandro and Sylar. Niki has bad news for Micah.
- S02E11 - Powerless
- Peter and Nathan Petrelli are reunited, but a battle erupts between them, Matt Parkman and Hiro Nakamura, set up by Adam Monroe. Monica Dawson is captured by a street gang, and Micah Sanders turns to his mother Niki for help. Maya Herrera learns Sylar's true nature when he kidnaps Molly Walker and Mohinder Suresh. Elle plays the hero to get back into her father's good graces.
