Season Two Action Packed Just Like Season One

Things seem to be moving along just as fast for Season Two - as they did when we first began to watch Heroes during the first season.

Boy - if you miss one show, if could get really confusing trying to get caught up again, eh?

Late November Update (2007)

Have I Ever Said "KUDOS" Before?

I'm sure I've said it before, but KUDOS To Tim Kring and Crew...

I believe Tim and Crew have pulled up their socks, improved the show drastically, and are back on track.

Kring Gets A Reality Check

Fans Want Kring To Get Hiro OUT OF JAPAN ALREADY!

Talk about a tough crowd!

Heroes viewers are demanding and they want the same quality and style of storytelling in the Second Season as was seen during Heroes Season One!

Admittedly, my lens module title above says "Season Two Action Packed Just Like Season One." I haven't known what to do with that title since it's a main lens, but past the second episode.....whoa - where did the action go?

Kring has apologized in some interviews and has basically said that he, writers and others involved in the production of the series HAVE HEARD THE VIEWER CONCERNS!

Excellent...

Now, Tim promises to make changes! (Yay - *whew*)

One of the most criticized elements of Season Two has been the Hiro side-storyline and people want Hiro back in the present, back with the other Heroes, and this request has been DULY NOTED by Kring and Crew.

Kring and Crew promise that - from episode 7 onward, the show will contain substantial improvements.

Way to go, Tim...now, let's hope the writers hang in there, eh?

Here's a link to one of the articles with a few of the things Tim Kring has addressed concerning the slumpy season two:

Heroes Creator Apologises For Season Two
(opens in new window) Article at Propeller .com site Nov 2007

Now, I'm gonna trust Kring on this one - this time - and leave my other module title alone...and count on Kring and Crew to toss some action and 'fantastic' back into the series for Season Two.

Season One brought us a whole collection of extraordinary individuals, but let's not forget where this all started...in the mind of Tim Kring.

Here are some resources for Tim Kring:

#1, Genesis, #2 Don't Look Back, #3 One Giant Leap, #4 Collision,
#5 Hiros, #6 Better Halves, #7 Nothing To Hide, #8 Seven Minutes To Midnight, #9 Homecoming, #10 Six Months Ago, #11 Fallout, #12 Godsend, #13 The Fix, #14 Distractions, #15 RUN!, #16 Unexpected, #17 Company Man, #18 Parasite, #19 .07% , #20 Five Years Gone, #21 The Hard Part, #22 Landslide,
#23 How To Stop an Exploding Man

Then we have the main HEROES and Characters:

Mohinder Suresh, played by actor Sendhil Ramamurthy. Mohinder doesn't have extraordinary abilities, however, he is the son of Chandra Suresh who is involved in studying people with extraordinary abilities. When the elder Suresh's involvement with the wrong Heroes occurs, it's GAME OVER for Chandra Suresh - he leaves behind unfinished and necessary studies for his son...

Other Heroes:

Isaac Mendez, played by actor, Santiago Cabrera paints the future and sets up the future for all of the Heroes characters.

Matt Parkman an unassuming, mild-mannered city cop, played by Greg Grunberg, who begins to inadvertently read peoples' minds on and off the job!

Theodore "Ted" Sprague is an intense character in season one. Mentally, physically, and in person, the man has a fiery temper and personality! Literally. This is because something strange that can't be explained happened to Ted. Something he cannot even remember. Ted loses some time for a few days and when he becomes aware of his surroundings again, he realizes that he has become a walking 'danger' to all. Everytime he becomes upset, a fire builds up inside. The only problem - it's REAL and it has to go somewhere! An additional problem - it contains radiation because it is so intense. Ted (Matthew John Armstrong) inadvertently causes his wife a terminal case of Cancer and this sure doesn't help him stay calm and quell the fires within!

Peter Petrelli played by actor Milo Ventimiglia starts to dream of flying and has a surreal experience whereby he is told to: "Save The Cheerleader, Save The World."

Ambitious older brother to Peter, Nathan Petrelli minimizes the dreams that Peter tells him about. Played by actor Adrian Pasdar, Nathan has important political and business responsibilities to tend to, including the decision to turn in a powerful mobster associated with his father, which could undermine the entire Petrelli business and family.

The divided Sanders family consists of DL Hawkins, Niki Sanders, and their son, Micah Sanders is in crisis right from the start of season one. Father, DL Hawkins (Actor, Leonard Roberts) isn't even in the picture because he's in jail - due to associations with the same mobster that the Petrelli family has been caught up with. Niki's (Ali Larter) mental health is in question as she appears to have a split personality, putting son, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) at risk of neglect or even harm.

Way off in Japan, Hiro Nakamura is driving friend and co-worker, Ando Masahashi crazy with his exuberant declarations about being a Hero! Hiro (Masi Oka) has trouble convincing Ando (James Kyson Lee) that he is destined for more than just a crowded office job in a suffocating cubicle.

Though every teenager has their problems, teen Claire Bennet has more adolescent angst than most. Strange things start happening with her body and we're not talking strictly about the usual adolescent hormonal changes taking place. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) gets 'hurt' a lot - physically. Seriously hurt. But she never requires a doctor because she keeps healing up on her own. She hides this from her family, particularly from her father, Mr. Bennet. Her father is just so busy with his job at Primatech Paper that Claire doesn't want to bother Mr. Bennet (Jack Coleman) or make him worry.

Lurking in the shadows and tailing in the background for most of season one, we have two interesting characters. One is suspiciously present at some point before each of the Heroes characters notices their extraordinary ability. We never find out his true identity and even well into season two, viewers know him as The Haitian. This character (actor Jimmy Jean-Louis) has an extraordinary ability to wipe peoples' minds of their memory. He even has the power to overwhelm the other 'lurking' persona in the Heroes series, Sylar!

Sylar (actor, Zachary Quinto) created himself - from a mild-mannered but emotionally unstable watchmaker's son, Gabriel Gray. Gabriel wanted to break out of the boring, structured life of a watchmaker, and so he did when he created an alternative persona, Sylar - who is as far from boring as one can get.

There you have a few details about Heroes Season One to start off with.

YES - there are more characters and YES, a LOT happened during Season One.

I'm currently working on a Minor and Recurring Characters lens and will keep updating.

Episode 6 The Line

Last night's episode THE LINE was very exciting.

Claire tried out for the cheeleading team but was faced by that cranky little beeatch, Debbie! (Can we all say "flock off, Debbie - leave Claire alone!")

Claire's new boyfriend, "West," helps Claire make Debbie look like a complete FOOL later on...*thumbsup* to West!

Mr. Bennet has the creepy line, "Sometimes we have to do bad things...don't disappoint me, Suresh." This comes before the first commercial break and the show just gets more exciting!

Mohinder is asked to give his latest 'guinea pig Hero' an injection - for the sake of research and the good of all mankind, of course...his order comes from the 'creepy guy' who enlisted Mohinder to work for The Company. Mohinder is definitely having some ethical issues with his new job.

Maya still believes that Sylar will take her and brother, Alejandro to the USA to find Dr. Suresh. Alejandro knows different! Sylar has definite designs on the siblings' extraordinary abilities. Do you really think he's going to let these two live? He says otherwise, right in this episode...

Ando is reading more scrolls that Hiro has managed to send ahead through time...but the message cuts off, right as Hiro expresses that the future has been altered...

...due to 'that kiss.'

Hiro and Kensei are now aware of each others' love for the same woman (Yaeko) - so who knows what's going to happen with this unfortunate trio now! Will Hiro hand over his love to Kensei? Will Kensei give up his love to Hiro? Will Yaeko get to choose?

Niki and Mohinder have begun a new 'work' relationship.

Noah and The Haitian are teamed up, tying people up to gain secret information...oh, Mr. Bennet, what on earth are you going to teach your daughter from doing this nasty line of work?

*Gasp* Mr. Bennet even LIES TO CLAIRE over the phone...telling her he's somewhere doing boring job stuff - when really, he is with The Haitian doing harmful stuff to Ivan. Shame, SHAME on you, Mr. Bennet!

Peter and Caitlin show up in THe Great White North, eh? (Canada, eh?)...but Peter teleports them elsewhere.

Shoot, Peter - if ya didn't like Canada, it's just because you didn't visit the nearest Tim Horton's while you had a chance!! Sheeeeeeeesh!

Of course, a TON of other stuff happened on the show last night, but I can't fit every detail in this lens. Luckily, there are some great vid clips. Maybe by watching, you can piece together the show.

If you were able to watch the episode, maybe your favorite moments of The Line will be represented in the video clips.

Enjoy!
