New York Artist, Isaac Mendez started off the first season - in fact - the first episode of the Heroes series with a little problem.

Isaac couldn't KICK his habits and lived in the emotionally-mentally deranged land of self inflicted pain that comes with Drug Abuse.

While we rooted for Isaac to 'clean up,' we knew, like he did, that something more extraordinary was going on than just drug-induced hallucinations, hot-and-cold sweats and the shakes!

Once Isaac got clean and took a look around, the content and graphics of his paintings was more unreal than the drug hallucinations.

More Unreal -
More terrifying -

...than any bad trip he would ever journey on.

His girlfriend, art dealer, Simone Deveaux, finally gives Isaac an ultimatum...

Only - it was too late. Not the drugs part - the part about the last series of paintings all coming true within a matter of days or hours.

It seems that our good friend, Isaac, was REALLY and truly painting the future - only this only ever occurred if he was 'under the influence.'

Finally, once Isaac gets 'clean,' things start to happen at even a more rapid rate and his reality - the real reality - starts to spin out of control!

He tries - in vain - to paint the future, stay clean, paint better pictures with better outcomes but...

The most horrible artwork of all depicts New York covered over with a massive nuclear mushroom cloud over the entire city - with violent, explosive flames below, right at the centre of the city.

Nothing that Isaac can paint resolves the horror he feels about the mushroom cloud artwork and it comes down to...

One more trip to attempt to paint a better future - one where New York is not engulfed in flames, smoke and cloud...

Chilean actor, Santiago Cabrera was raised in London.

* Born in Caracas, Venezuela

* Age 15, family returned to Venezuela
* Played football in high school but a drama teacher turned him on to acting and the 'Drama Center'
* Was involved with numerous productions at the 'Drama Center,' including the title character in "The Last Days Of Don Juan"
* British television debut on series "Battles of Britain" (while still in his final, 3rd year of training at the Drama Center!)
* Starred in the 2006 movie, "Love and Other Disasters" with Brittany Murphy and Matthew Rhys.
* Multilingual - Fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian
* Accomplished in the sports of hockey and tennis, and also a skilled scuba-diver

Issac's loft studio figures significantly in the series even after Isaac departs the 'scene.'

Isaac's studio is in lower Manhattan

Isaac is a comic book author and an artist who painted the future (painted 'prophetic' works) for the rest of the Heroes - on large elaborate canvas paintings and also in comic books...meanwhile, Isaac couldn't paint himself INTO the future with his fellow-Heroes.

Isaac was a drug addict - heroin was his drug of choice.

Isaac had been to rehab twice

Isaac's girlfriend was Simone Deveaux. She was an art dealer.

Isaac began winning contests around his illustrations when he was in high school and he began some courses in comic book art. He honed his artist skills by taking comic book illustration training at the college level in New York.

Camacho Comics noticed Isaac's talent at an annual comic book convention in New York, and they hired him immediately. Working with Camacho Comics helped Isaac learn the ropes in the industry and he worked diligently for 3 years until 2002, when he finally published his own comic series, "9th Wonders!" under his uncle Burk's name. His uncle Burk was one of the few people who continued to encourage Isaac with his interest in comic art, so Isaac's tribute was to self-publish under Burk's name.
