Though Micah Sanders has some abilities that most other kids do not, he also has a lifestyle that no kid would want.

His mother, Niki Sanders, displays signs of some really serious mental health issues - she can change moods in the blink of an eye - so Micah is always on the lookout for his 'real mom' within her strange behaviors.

That's not all!

Micah's Dad, D.L. Hawkins - is in JAIL at the beginning of the series. Charges: Theft...oh great - Micah's dad is a theif!

But that's not all!

It's WORSE! Micah's dad is in jail, as well, for the big 'M' word - MURDER!

Add all this to the fact that Micah's parents have led a criminal lifestyle, bouncing around form home to home, trying to evade both authorities and loanshark/mobsters...and what you have is

A pretty darn observant little boy named Micah - who is often more help to his parents than they are to him.

One of the season one episodes also shows Micah's mom attending a 12-step meeting - she's had some troubles with alcohol - so one can imagine that previous years, for Micah, involved a drunken mother, as well.

It's a good thing that Micah has some special abilities, over and above good manners, responsibility, and compassion, 'cos his parent sure need him a lot!

Don't underestimate this little Hero, folks - Noah Gray-Cabey has got got a LOT going on outside the TV show, Heroes, and it's all heroic! (Plus - he's adorable!)

* Born November 16, 1995
* Born in Chicago, Illinois, USA
* Grew up in Newry, Maine, USA
* Began playing piano around 18mo of age!
* Did a little mini-tour at only age four, performing in locations across New England and Washington
* Toured with the New England Symphonic Ensemble (1st 'official tour'), which took him to Jamaica mahn!
* Age 5 (2001), became youngest SOLOIST EVER - to perform with an orchestra at Sydney Opera House in Australia, mate!
* Also performed in Australia, at the Queensland Conservatory and later in Brisbane at the International String Convention
* Ripley's Believe It Or Not has showcased Noah's talents
* He is currently more than 4 grades ahead of kids his own age in academics
* Special project - Noah and his family have a musical CD out, with profits assisting inner-city music programs. This project is called A.I.M. "Action In Music"
