Isaac, from his loft apartment, intends to shoot Peter, who is an intruder of sorts, however Isaac shoots someone else instead...and Simone drops, lifeless into Peter's arms. Peter proclaims Simone dead, and Isaac reacts by firing two more shots. Luckily, Peter has acquired the extraordinary ability of invisibillity, so he escapes.

Hiro keeps getting tossed out of the casino, in Las Vegas, where he is trying to get to Mr. Linderman.

Thompson at Primatech questions Mr. Bennet but Bennet insists he doesn't remember anything after driving Mrs. Bennet home from the hospital. Thompson informs Bennet that The Haitian has 'gone rogue' and has erased the memory from the minds of most of the Bennet family, but will not allow Noah to go after The Haitian...

Mr Bennet is observed through a one-way mirror at Primatech. Thompson (with Candice) speaks with a tied-up Matt Parkman in another room, and Matt says that Bennet is telling the truth.

Route 290...The Haitian and Claire:
Claire is mostly speechless all day while The Haitian drives, but she conveys, finally, that she just wants to go home. The Haitian says she must stay away from her old life, away from 'The Company.' He explains that what the Company will do to her if they catch up with her will be irrepairable and that her father sacrificed a great deal to make sure that she lived. The Haitian stops to use a payphone, speaking in French and returns from the call to say that Claire must leave the country immediately that night.

A pair of FBI agents visit Nathan Petrelli's office. They are interested in the topic of illegal campaign funds and contributions from the Linderman Group. The agents pull the blind and search for 'bugs' (recording devices) before they continue to speak with Nathan. Eventually, they ask Nathan to wear a recording device and get evidence enough to put Mr. Linderman in jail.

Once the agents leave, Nathan finds Peter in the office and Nathan has to tell his brother that he's been working with the FBI since Heidi's accident. Peter confesses about the incident with Isaac and Simone, saying he was wrong in thinking he could be a hero. Nathan offers to call the police anonymously over the incident and wants Peter to stay with him but Peter refuses, saying that when he is around he places everyone else in danger. The brothers are just beginning a discussion about getting Peter some help from Mohinder Suresh who might be able to study Peter, but when a campaign manager interrupts to tell Nathan his flight time to Las Vegas, Peter turns invisible and makes his exit.

Impersonating Zane Taylor, Sylar looks over 'the list' while at Mohinder's apartment. Mohinder admits he wants to examine Sylar's DNA and compare it to Chandra's sample/formula. "Zane"/Sylar suggests a break but Mohinder says that people need to be warned about Sylar right away! Zane/Sylar offers to call Isaac Mendez while Mohinder tends to other matters and makes them some tea, in anticipation of a long night of more researching. As they share the first sips of tea, Zane/Sylar asks who they should call next. Mohinder replies that they will call nobody else because he has found who they are looking for. Mohinder tells SYLAR that he knows who he is (that he is NOT Zane), and Sylar drops his cup of drug-laced tea, and falls to the floor unconscious.

When Nathan arrives in Las Vegas he finds Hiro sitting outside the casino, looking dejected. Hiro tries to holler, excitedly "flying man!" when he recognizes Nathan, but Nathan covers his mouth, quieting him. Nathan asks where Ando is and if Hiro is still trying to steal the sword. Hiro says Ando had to go home because things were getting too dangerous now. He asks for Nathan's assistance in getting past casino security. Nathan tells security that Hiro is making a delivery to Linderman and says the guard should know by now what happens to people who prevent Linderman from receiving things that are delivered to him. This allows Hiro passage right away.

At a Texas airport, Claire is given a new Canadian identity, complete with brand new passport. She complains of losing everything, but The Haitian says he is not there to see her happy, only safe. When Claire shows her boarding pass and is moved along, The Haitian cannot find his passport, and they are separated. Claire keeps on walking and tosses The Haitian's passport and ID in a nearby trashcan.

When police show up at Issac's door looking for Simone Deveaux, Isaac looks at their photograph of Simone and admits that he and she had broken up recently. The police say they received an anonymous call and though she might be injured. Just as they ask if they can have a look around, Simone walks in the door, asking what's going on. An incredulous Isaac has little to say. Obviously there is no need for police inspection, as Simone is present, in the flesh, looking as healthy as an alive person should.

When Mr. Bennet arrives and the officers are gone, he remarks at Simone that she is 'useful,' and then the facade drops, showing that Candice had assumed Simone's form. Simone's dead body re-appears on Issac's bed, and Mr. Bennet tells Isaac that Candice is 'special' just like Isaac. He explains that, as far as anyone is to know, Simone is travelling Europe for an indefinite time period, and a crew is coming to clean up the mess in the apartment.

Micah and Jessica play video games together and when Micah conveys that he must get to school, Jessica says he won't learn anything there that he doesn't already know. Jessica chides Niki in the mirror saying that she is a better Niki than Niki is. D.L. Hawkins enters, showing a picture of Nathan, saying that he and Niki aren't supposed to keep secrets from each other. The photo was found on his pillow. Jessica claims that Linderman only phoned to enlist her as a casino dealer, so it's no big deal and D.L. should trust her. Jessica looks to the mirror and asks Niki if she left the picture on the pillow.

When Sylar awakens, Mohinder explains that he is paralyzed with a drug that will render some of his brain - thus, his 'abilities' useless. Mohinder confronts Sylar, showing him a newspaper article about Zane Taylor, killed 3 days before. Mohinder presents a tuning fork and calls Sylar a PARASITE! Striking the tuning fork, he places the ringing metal to Sylar's ear, causing great agony with Sylar's newly acquired extraordinary hearing abilities. A psychological discussion ensues about the purposes and motivations of Sylar, Chandra Suresh and Mohinder that is quite unnerving when Mohinder is told that his father 'confided in' Sylar at one time. Brushing Sylar's babble off, Mohinder grabs a syringe so he can take a sample of spinal fluid from the one he believes his father called "Patient Zero." He warns Sylar that it is going to hurt.
