Heroes S2 Episode2 - Lizards

Peter, Caitlin, Bob, Mohinder, HRG, The Haitian, Noah Bennet

What went on in Lizards:

* in Cork, Ireland, criminals have Peter shackled after finding him in a cargo container in the last episode.
Caitlin, the gang leader's (Ricky's) sister, tends to Peter, and eventually, he 'phases' his hands through the bonds, freeing himself. When trying to escape, he is caught by Ricky's thugs and they capture Caitlin, intending harm. Peter reacts with a new ability, telekinetic power, and uses a blast of energy and super strength to protect Caitlin, which means that he doesn't escape. Later, Ricky bargains with Peter. Peter's assistance in an organized theft - in exchange for a box that Ricky holds. The box contains possessions found on or around Peter at the time when he was discovered, groggy and confused, in the cargo container.

Bob ('stranger' in last episode), the man who turns things to gold, sends Mohinder on an assignment.

Mohinder: on assignment that ends up being to find and heal the Haitian who has contracted 'the virus.'

The Haitian: mistrusts Mohinder, believing that the virus is a sign and punishment from God. When Mohinder mentions 'the company,' he and the Haitian share a look of understanding between them.

Mohinder returns from his assignment, reporting to Bob, minus the memory of the past several hours...

HOWEVER

When Mohinder soon phones HRG, they both briefly acknowledge that 'the trip,' procured the intended results, and HRG is actually approached by The Haitian while still on the phone with Mohinder. The Haitian and HRG greet each other with familiar, knowing smiles.

Noah Bennet admits to his wife, after being informed of Kaito Nakamura's death, that he is investigating the series of paintings that Isaac Mendez created just prior to his murder. Mr. Bennet unrolls a painting, depicting Kaito's death. The rest of the paintings, apparently, are yet unfulfilled prophecy.

Maya and Alejandro, Kaito, Angela, Molly, Ando, Matt Parkman, Nathan

A woman and family friend named, Nidia, assists Maya and Alejandro with their escape. She brings Maya and Alejandro to her home for a brief rest, and an unnamed 'healer' is present, who tells Maya that her disease is a curse, dark enough to kill the Devil, himself! After nightfall, Nidia aims to help the pair cross a heavily guarded border, leading them to a tunnel. When the twins have to separate in order to navigate the tunnel, and with border guards in close proximity, Maya panicks and her eyes begin to fill with blackness, flowing as a liquid down her face. Nidia is horrified, falls to the ground, choking, and her eyes blacken with dark streaks appearing on her face. Alejandro rushes to catch up with the women and he grasps Maya's hands, calming her. Once her eyes return to normal, Nidia also returns to normal, however she is terror-filled, and curses the twins, then flees. Luckily, Nidia has done her job and by the time she flees, Maya and Alejandro have covered the ground and crossed the intended border already.

Matt Parkman, along with Detective Fuller, is investigating the death of Kaito Nakamura. The two visit the rooftop of the Deveaux building to look for clues. Matt learns that Angela Petrelli was present on that same rooftop. Ando is still around, having been sent by Kaito to fetch Kaito's sword just moments before the assassin attack. Ando explains the helix symbol found on a ripped photograph of Kaito Nakamura means 'Godsend.'

When Matt goes to question Angela Petrelli (who has been held in jail for questioning), she admits to an affair with Kaito at one time in the past. She feels Matt's mind-reading powers and demands, silently, in her thoughs - that he get out of her head!

Nathan shows up to post bail and retrieve his mother from jail. While Matt is leading Nathan to the interrogation room where his mother is, Angela is attacked by an unseen force. Matt breaks in to the room in the nick of time, and though no culprit is visible, Angela has blood on her face and a picture of herself with the helix symbol drawn onto the photo.

Molly Walker is continuing to draw helix symbols as of late. These are combined with two bogeyman eyes.

Still More Lizard episode details

Hiro and Takezo, Claire and West, Mr. Muggles

In 1671, Feudal Japan, Hiro impersonates his hero, Takezo Kensei and rescues a swordsmith's daughter when it looks like Takezo will not be doing the same. Without action on the part of Takezo, history would be forever changed, hence, Hiro's decision to take action and impersonate his hero. Hiro uses his abilities to stop time, disarm 11 bandits, and save the daughter. He manages to coerce Takezo into later saving the swordsmith, too.

Takezo is overcome by the bandits who were earlier disarmed and they let fly with arrows. He falls to the ground, mortally wounded, and Hiro crouches over him. As Hiro watches, Takezo miraculously revives.

Claire Bennet is getting A LOT of attention from school peer, West Rosen. During biology class, her instructor is lecturing on regenetive powers of lizards. Claire, who is supposed to be trying to fit and blend in, sticks out like a sore thumb, asking in class - if it were possible for people to 'evolve' and develop the same regenerative abilities as lizards.

Later on, West suggests that if Claire is so interested in the topic, she should read a book that he knows about which is about evolution, written by "some Indian guy." The book in question happens to be "Activating Evolution" by Chandra Suresh, Mohinder's brilliant, scientific father.

Later still, Claire argues with her father about the purpose of her powers. She says she should be using her extraordinary abilities to help people and not hide them away as her dad keeps telling her to do. She tells her dad that she should be donating her blood or something to offer people regenerative powers and help them.

As a self test to see what happens, Claire uses scissors (this scene, not for the squeamish!!) to cut off her pinky toe - to see how and if it regenerates.

It does, but once it grows back, Claire notices someone outside the house, looking in a window. It is West, and he has seen her 'experiement' and effects! She runs outside to try and talk to him but the driveway is empty, all except for Chandra Suresh's book, Activating Evolution - the book West mentioned earlier - sitting in the driveway.

The show closes on this note with the strange activity of Mr. Muggles, Mrs. Bennet's prized pooch, barking up at the sky, directly above Suresh's book.
