This Altitude Ultra V-Lite has been waterproofed with ion-mask. This is an invisible coating which does not allow the inside of the shoe to get wet - even as you splash through puddles or trudge through snow.

Even the seams remain watertight.

And you don't need to have a waterproof sheath or membrane. .No extra layer that will get your feet hot and sweaty.

The ion-mask also prevents these boots from absorbing dirt and stains. So they look newer and smarter for longer.

Because the ion-mask is chemically attached to the whole surface of these boots, it is literally part of the shoe and won't wear away. So you've got the protection for as long as the boots last.
