The Hiccups Again?

Have you tried everything to get rid of your hiccups but nothing works?

Here's a quick and easy remedy that gets rid of hiccups about 90% of the time for me and others I've shared it with.

It's very simple and you can do it all by yourself. There's no need for paper bags, crazy stunts or having someone scare you to stop your hiccups.

Step 1: Exhale Completely

Right after a hiccup, smoothly exhale all the air out of your lungs.

Step 2: Take A Deep Breath

Breathe in all the air your lungs will hold. You can inhale through your mouth or nose, whichever you prefer.

Step 3: Hold Your Breath

Hold that deep breath as long as you possibly can. It helps if you swallow a few times during this step.

Step 4: Exhale and Breathe Normally

Hopefully you are now hiccup free again. If not, move on to step #5.

Step 5: Repeat As Needed

Sometimes it works the first try but I've found that it normally takes 2 repetitions to get rid of my hiccups. Occasionally more.

If you hiccup during step 3, you'll probably have to repeat.

I'm not a doctor and I've never played one on TV. But I do get the hiccups and use this way to stop them.
