High Paying Freelance Writing Jobs

Ranked #6,832 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #245,647 overall

Tired of Working for Change?

Many freelance writers who have no formal education will have to begin at the bottom of the totem pole. This is not unusual and it is likely that if you cannot make it past the initial frustration of 'proving yourself' as a writer, you will likely never have the drive it takes to be a high paid, full-time freelance writer.

However, once you have passed those painful beginner stages, you may be able to take on the tasks of increasing your payscale. Understand that without excellent English and particularly North American Language skills, writers may not have what it takes to enter into the next level of writing where five dollar articles are a thing of the past, and even a twenty-dollar article may not inspire more than a yawn.

The Key to Success

Consider it a Keyring

Freelance writing jobsAlthough the ultimate key to the success of a freelance writer is their skill, there are also many tiny key elements to be considered.

Digital Portfolios - Create at least one digital portfolio for yourself as a writer. Some great sites for digital portfolio creation are:

www.foliospaces.com

www.weebly.com

Foliospaces does provide a bit more of a barebones approach, but for all intents and purposes, is a great format for a flat digital portfolio. An example of a Foliospaces Portfolio is here.

Joy Lynskey's FolioSpaces Portfolio

Weebly offers a lot more options in customization, but beware, these portfolios may only be best for writers who 'specialize' if there is an appropriately relevant template for it. Otherwise, the portfolio looks more frilly than forward-thinking.

The Hidden Jobs You Need to Know About

Your Future Clients Do

Freelance jobs with good payThere are a few things that clients consider when looking for a good freelance writer. Most have enough experience to know that they will get what they pay for. So with changing algorithms requiring the utmost of care be given to any website's content, the value of well formatted, high writing quality content is worth quite a bit to some employers.

In the last year alone, I have found the opportunity to assist an Australian English Academic student create their college final paper, in about 4 hours, for a rewarding payout of $400 dollars.

I've had a famous Las Vegas casino commission me for an 800 word article at the rate of $1225 dollars.

I've written for a company that paid me one single month's wages at the rate of $4792.92 Circa Feb 2011.

The truth is, these are not the jobs you are ever going to find on Odesk, Elance or other Freelance work sites. The reason being is that honestly, the quality of the work there, and the rate of plagiarism, is appalling. So smart clients, and those wiling to pay for what they get, are not going to be found there.

Although I regret that I cannot just show them publicly, I do hope offer a money back promise that says if you can not land one single blog/article job at the rate of 25 USD or more within 1 month using this eBook, you can have your money right back!

I also go out of my way to dedicate my time to budding freelancers who may need additional coaching in the areas of writing, publishing, portfolios, social media marketing, and other vital elements of a freelance writers career. Simply email me at jrlsolutionsbiz@gmail.com anytime!

I tried a few bidding sites but just ended up frustrated by the low rates on some of them. I did work for eLance for awhile and was very happy with them.

Hey BlueMoodGoddess thanks for visiting and commenting. I think that many writers have had issues with some of the outsourcing sites where people try to pay ridiculous amounts for work. Those asking for the best high-quality content that a writer can possibly create and they will only pay 20 cents per 500 words almost makes me laugh, if it wasn't so offensive. I've always had better luck and far better pay with private clients, or the not so giant write sites!

If you have ever been frustrated by the bidding write sites then get off of those and grab this book. I haven't worked on Odesk or Elance since I started working for the sites in the ebook. It has been almost 4 months and I've made almost 3 k the last two months.... for PART TIME WORK!@!!

I have to say this. These three books make one hell of a team. I actually bought the writing guide for my husband who has some writing skills and was out of work. He now makes more than me and he never even has to take his pajama's off. Men!

I have ESL and my English wasn't real good for content work. The tips and websites to check my grammar for free were invaluable. I used to make 30 cents per 100 words and since I learned from these books I haven't had to take a job for less than 4 cents each word

My husband is only halfway through the second book and his Klout score is already 77! I love the way these ebooks are written so that people like me can understand them without having to look up more stuff.

Me and my sister shared these books and studied them together. I know I am not supposed to say this but we are only 16 and 18 and we have made over 500 dollars in the last week put together! We are saving up for a trip overseas for school internships!

I totally thought the books would be BS to be honest, but I did it because I knew I could get my money back. Now I wouldn't sell this information for a load of money. This is job security for freelance writers!

My Mom bought the last two books for me since I didn't really need the first one. I am now working for some really big internet companies writing website content for over 10 cents per word! I really can't believe it! I was writing articles for 1 dollar a year ago!

Be sure to follow the instructions in the ebook about social media. IT is right on time and my social media influence has been jumping in leaps and bounds since I began doing the stuff the book said.

I really did not think this would work. But since the girl who wrote it guarantees your money back if you don't get a good paying job, than I didn't think I had anything to lose. Boy am I GLAD I went through this mini course. I am a single father of two girls and next week I get to quit my day job and stay at home writing while taking care of my girls! Thank you so much Mrs. Lynskey!

I went through this high paying freelance program and before I even finished the last ebook I had won 2 jobs for articles paying over 40 dollars each! I even received bonuses for having a good social media influence! Way to go to this lensmaster for figuring out the way to teach regular joe's to make decent money.
