Precautions and Warning before taking Aldactone:
***Do not use potassium supplements or other diuretics while you are taking Aldactone.
***If you need to have any type of surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are taking Aldactone.
***Children can experience dehydration when taking diuretics like Aldactone if they have diarrhea or vomiting that lasts more than 24 hours.
***Avoid using some low-sodium milk products that contain potassium while taking Aldactone.
***Salt substitutes should be avoided as well as potassium supplements.
Consult your Physician if you have:
- Kidney disease
- Diabetes
- Liver disease
- A current prescription for an ACE inhibitor like Capoten , Lotensin , Prinivil, Zestril, Vasotec or others.
