The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Book Review

Why You Should Get the Book
Not that I'm an expert on the subject, but I'm guessing that this isn't your typical success book. In many ways it's a general purpose psychology book, dealing with such things as motivation, organizational skills, and how to deal with stress. It's chock full of seemingly unique information, and interesting quotes and tidbits. For example, it states 'Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success. Leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall.' The book isn't boring or repetitive, and is written in a pleasing, conversational manner. Everyone should give this a read, not just those interested in business success.
Review by a Customer
Although I have read many personal development books, 7 Habits is by far the best. No hype, hoopla, pyscho-babble that is so prevalent today, however, I submit that 7 Habits will be around long after the hypsters are gone. I work in a 1,500 staff facility and 7 Habits is required reading for all management staff. I also recommend Superself, possibly one of the most underrated books out there and Financial Self Defense which in my opinion, is the financial book version of 7 Habits.

- I really enjoyed "The 7 Habits...". Steven doesn't focus on behavior but on principles. He rightly claims that happiness begins inside a person. I pay my employees for reading the book (and passing a simple test).

- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is really good. Has been around for some time and will continue to do so. In at least one organization that I know of, a 2 day course on 7 habits was compulsory.
