Testimonial

Isn't it great to get testimonials like this (I occasionally give away a free copy of my ebook if a student is in financial trouble)...

"I can't really begin to express my gratitude to you for sending me a free copy of your wonderful book 'Studying For Exams Made Simple'. It was simply wonderful. The result of my exam was the final icing on the cake, though I couldn't do the last part ie the **** ****. The other tips really played out well especially the question/answer reflex. I can just imagine if I had done the **** **** surely I would have been published as the best student.

All I can say is, I am very grateful.

Thanks a million times."

High School Study Skills

In order for students to have good high school study skills, they need to focus first.

However, most high school and college students, like most teenagers or young adults, are still less focused, and study skills are yet to be cultivated.

High school study skills can be enhanced with practice and are essential for effective learning and test taking for every student.

You'll need to learn new time-management techniques and strengthen your organization, concentration, note-taking and test-taking skills.

Just improving your time management study skills alone, whether middle school, high school or college, can make a huge difference in grades and confidence.

Most students have no idea how many different study skills they need to master. There are literally hundreds of them but here are some of the most important ones...
  • time management skills
  • concentration skills
  • listening skills
  • note taking skills
  • reading skills
  • exam taking skills
  • writing skills
  • revision skills
  • thinking skills
  • researching skills
  • essay writing skills
  • multiple choice skills
  • analyzing exam questions
  • proportioning time in the exam
  • exam preparation skills
  • handling stress and anxiety skills
  • learning strategy skills
  • speed reading skills
  • memory skills
  • motivational skills
  • problem solving skills
... and many more.

Can you believe there are so many study skills you need to practice? How can a student manage to be good at all of these?

Obviously the only way to handle so much information and so many study skills is to have a study system. There's just no other way. No wonder most students suffer from stress and anxiety during the year.

Studying For Exams Made Simple
is a study system developed by an 'A' student that incorporates these high school study skills into a simple, logical 6 step process.

I love this lens. You're correct in stressing the importance of focus, time management and organization. I've included this in a page I've curated on back-to-school planning at http://www.squidoo.com/back-to-school-planning . My son will be starting high school next year and I'm already preparing him. Thanks!
