Getting Targeted Traffic To Your Website

Although there are many books on the Internet showing you how to get traffic to your website, I thought I would add my two pennies worth via this lens! These are the strategies that I use and that have worked for me.

Article Writing

You've heard it time and time again, write articles and submit them to the various article sites that are available. This does actually work and although it takes time to get the traffic, you will eventually get a stream of traffic to your website via your article writing.

The two article sites that I use are Go Articles and Ezine Articles.

Although you may not like writing articles, this really is a must for your online business success and to get the much needed targeted traffic to your website.

Remember that you can utilise Private Label articles but always rewrite the article to make it sound as though you have written it - make it your own and add your own views and thoughts and this will make your article unique.

If you have any Private Label ebooks, you could chop these up as articles too, remembering to rewrite them first.

One great way of writing articles quickly and on any subject is to use Instant Article Wizard. Although the Instant Article Wizard Pro has now been released, I could never get it to work on my computer. Many others have, I hasten to add, but I will not promote anything that I have not used myself and which I find to be useful for my online business.

I have used Instant Article Wizard on many occasions and it is extremely helpful in researching the keywords and information for the article you intend to write.

If you enjoy writing and are able to write a few articles every day on various subjects, you could package them and sell with Private Label Rights!

Start Bloggin' It!

Get a blog or install Wordpress on your own domain and place your articles there. You will be surprised at how much traffic you can get after a short amount of time.

If you go to Wordpress to set up a free blog, be careful not to use your affiliate links or talk about MLM (Multi Level Marketing) as this is against the rules and you will find your blog will be deleted. The best thing to do is to direct everyone to your own website and from there to the affiliate site in question.

Wordpress do not allow Google ads on their site however, you can place them on your own domain if you have Wordpress installed on there.

If you want a free blog where you can use Google ads, you will need to go to Blogger which is owned by Google and very easy to use. However, my advice is to use Wordpress as you can get a ton of traffic to your site from there!

Just remember to update your blog at least once a week. I tend to lapse on occasion too as it is very easily done if you are busy doing other things.

If you keep your blog dedicated to one subject instead of your daily life, you will get website visitors coming back for more!

The Most Important Thing

Is getting traffic to your website. Without it, your business will fail.

7 More Tips to Increase Your Search Engine Ranking and Website Traffic

1. Create a site with valuable content, products or services.

2. Place primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the document but don't overdo it!

3. Researching and using the correct phrases and keywords will attract your target customers.

4. Keep your site design simple so that your customers can navigate easily between web pages. If your website visitors cannot find their way around your website, they will close the page and go elsewhere.

5. Look at your reports and logs on the control panel of your website to see where your visitors are coming from and the keywords they used to find you.

6. Create a pleasant buying and visiting experience for your website visitors.

7. Keep adding useful information to your website as this is how Googlebot will notice you! If your website is ever-changing and not static, you may find yourself on the first page of Google!

There is a TON of valuable information here, though I think that more people should focus on product / service research, keyword research and creating a squeeze page on the front end of a well put together product making sure that you're using high quality content related information to back all of this up through the site map. Also, there is great importance in setting up a disclaimer page, terms of service page and a site map that the search engines spiders can use to raise the quality score of your website, which will help boost your seo ranking and ultimately drive more traffic to your website.

In closing, please understand that from my 10 years of experience almost half of the traffic you get to your website when looking back at things will come from the search engines. With that in mind it's best to start by optimizing your pages.
