Nice lens on hiking. My fiancée and I couldn't agree with you more that hiking is great getaway and fun for everyone.

As a member of a flashlight enthusiast forum (yes, they do exist :D), I'd like to add that aside from a wind-up flashlight, it's really best to have a batter powered hiking flashlight. You will get much better output and will be able to see better. Not to mention, if you're doing some strenuous hiking, it's not much fun using a wind-up or shake light when you are already tired. A wind-up flashlight is great to have as a backup though.

I'm currently using a SureFire G3 which I recently posted on my blog about (http://hikingflashlight.tumblr.com) and we plan to get the smaller version (SureFire G2) for my fiancée here soon.

Thanks again for the lens and stay safe out on the trail!

Nice lens. Rail Trails aren't much in the way of secluded or true nature but they are a great start for families just getting started. We bike them and have even planned vacations going from one to the other.
